    why would tire pressure throw off alignment that much ?

    They didnt say it changed the alignment but recommend that based on the alignment them gave it. At 28psi I would get the best tire footprint/traction and balanced tread wear.

    Did they thread back in the holes fairly easy with the powder coat on them? Also what’s best way to remove without scratching the surrounding areas?

    Make sure to not pc the threads. Also make sure they only do a light coat so your socket still fits over. Use a 1/4” ratchet and you won’t scratch the wheels. If you want put electric tape on the outside but you don’t really need to. Also when you reinstall just put it back snug w lock tight. I broke one doing it too tight by accident.
