After I put it off because I'll miss seeing the pretty inferno tailgate in my rearview mirror, I finally got Line-X. Looks good!

Very nice. So after looking at yours, I noticed they did not linex the tie down hooks in the bed. Toyota did the two closest to the cab but not the back two. Were you given an option or reason why they don’t linex all 4? I was somewhat disappointed toyota didn’t do all 4.

Yup. I hope that was the right choice. I don't picture myself hauling gravel, and I've been taking pretty good care, so I decided to pay for the rich colour. Looks really good all black and shiny!

When I picked it up, the gal that wrote the order apologized for not asking my preference. I decided to be okay with it; looks kind of cool. She said something about the hooks being less likely to rust than in the past (sounded like b.s. to me). They did ask my preference about the plugs between the bed and the cab, and wrote up to do light at the bulkhead (where, otherwise, spray down the back of the cab would overlap with spray in the bed near the cab, making it thicker where I did not want extra thickness) to preserve drainage. Supposed to get good rain tonight, so I'll see how that went.

I am a tiny bit irritated because the paint has been f'ed up on all of those pretty inferno hooks-- pretty clearly a result of stripping by power tools used to put them back in. It would be typical of me to freak out and throw a fit but, again, I decided to let it ride. No matter how pretty it looks, it will get worn by sun and materials-- and it's a truck after all. The important part for me is they didn't mess up my paint!

I suggest you tell them specifically to do yours. If yours was done already, can you spray can? That's what I'll do if this bugs me (missing paint on the hoops).

I've actually have been waiting on getting mine to get some crush and run lol. I plan to tell them to take off the bed track system and hooks. I figure I can always either paint or replace if they get rusty. And if I ever get the swing out tool kit it will be easier to remove the back hooks.

I probably will end up painting the two rear hooks. I was asking because the paint on mine is getting f’d up.

Looking forward to Spring so I can wash my own truck again.

Side note: your neighbors across the street look like they have a serious moisture problem with their stucco.

Maybe, but I think it may be on purpose - a design choice. Utah is a high desert and moisture doesn't really stick around. If you look up close, I think it's meant to give off a "tuscan" look.

No bueno! Sorry about your truck, and hope it's "not too bad". Nothing good though. Except that you're alright!

Ha still waiting! I got my distressed American flag stickers. Still need to decide where I want to place them. Either above the iforce badge or below. The truck is dirty and it’s been raining on and off.

I’ve also been working on my wife’s 08 Scion XB. I had to change my Volant CAI back to stock to get it smoged. I’m going to leave it stock this time. Decided to pull the charcoal filter, and order and Afe dry filter for it. That intake was a horrible fit anyways.

Also gathering parts for my 03 Sequoia to change the timing belt, water pump etc. I just got done overhauling the entire brake system. New pads, rotors, front braided brake lines and master cylinder. Also had to change out both upstream O2 sensors.
On a plus I got all the warning lights to go away and it’s finally stopping better than factory. I wanted to get all of that squared away before touching the timing belt. I bought this thing off my sister-in-law for 3k. Just needed a lot of TLC.

I’m going to be a busy boy here pretty soon. I’m sure I’ll squeeze some time in the slap some stickers on the tundra though!

Tint doesn’t look much different then before but with the polarized film it sure makes a difference inside. Went 15% on the driver/passenger sides, 35% over the existing factory tint in all rear windows, and 70% over the entire windshield. Bring on the summer heat!

    Steps installed too!

I did ceramic tint. I did 20% all the way around - the front windshield. It almost seems polarized. Is yours ceramic too?

The ceramic helped so much compared to the same setup in my wife’s car but standard tint.
Id like to do our front windshields some day too.

Findlay Customs was the installer and they claim they use LLumar CTX Ceramic film. Not a ton of difference in the windshield darkness wise. But what I notice is that glare off of other people’s cars have been reduced and objects appear sharper. Really happy I chose to do the windshield.
