So kinda random I know, but who all in here has got the big snip? Just got mine done today, and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. They also give you a grab bag of stuff with a t shirt, a whistle to call your wife for sandwiches, and a Caldera Vasdeferans dark Belgian Ale in a 22oz. Not too bad. Any advice other than ice, ice, and more ice? Any funny stories? Let's hear them!

I have not, but wife has asked me about it. Debating whether to or not

Remember the part where they cauterize the hole in your balls and it sounds like the world's tiniest pan of bacon sizzling away? I got this done last year..

The prep nurse was hot. She flung my junk out of the way violently before vigorously applying what must have been chilled iodine. I don't think she wanted me getting the wrong idea.

First day was no big deal, day 2 things started to suck.

The best part was how you need to take a sample back after 10 ejaculations. I would ask my wife on a daily basis "you want to help me check off 4/10?"

She only laughed the first time, but was usually game. ;)

Don't cough or sneeze, and get a couple bags of frozen peas, to sit ever so gingerly on.

If we were to get pregnant it wouldn't be good. Wife is almost 40, and we had some rare blood typing issues where her body built anti bodies to our boys blood protiens (JKE and JKA for anyone that knows what that is). In other words if we had another more than likely her body would attack it like a foreign body and baby would not make it. So kind of a no brainier to get it done.

Yes that was weird...it's weird having someone other than your wife messing with your junk! Almost rather have an ugly nurse I guess. Mine was pretty cute too. She said if you didn't shave prior, she shaves you dry with a bic...yowch!

I don’t have any biological children. Just my stepdaughter. But my wife has been asking that I get snipped. We’re both about a year away from 40. We’re pretty sure we don’t want anymore kids. It’s kind of weird basically clearing the table of even a possibility to have a kid of my own. But my wife does have the copper IUD. It kind of messes with her and I don’t want it to cause problems down the road. I tell her it’s an IED because you can feel the fuse down in the bomb shelter lol.I also tell her she wants me to get snipped so she can keep my balls in her purse. I know that’s not how it works LOL.

I think within the next year or two I’m going to make the final decision. Most likely I will be getting it done.

Good luck man. Keep some ice on them nuggets.

I agree, ugly female nurse or some dude named Russel. When the hot nurse walked in it was kind of embarrassing - and then she kills your opportunity to impress her by dousing you with near-freezing iodine.

Same here. She has an IUD and is concerned with all of the issues it could cause in the cervix (like the dreaded C word). That's how it came up.

That’s pretty much how it was laid out to me. And I definitely don’t want to lose her. This operation is much safer for us then it would be if they had it done. This is the one spot we’re men have a problem. It’s hard to say go ahead cut my sac open. But for her I’d do anything to make sure she’s here longer than I am.

Speaking from experience? I was thinking about doing it but the wife is not pushing the issue so I'm gladly not mentioning it.

It's like Chinese food. 10 min it's done. I done it 11 years ago. No big deal and never took any pain meds. Done on Friday, grocery shopping on Saturday and went back to work on Monday.

Yeah by extra frozen peas I did.

I did mine on a Saturday, flew to Louisville, KY on Monday. Drove to Erlanger (near Cinci). Uninstalled a massive machine and then installed a slightly smaller but still massive machine that week. Lifting and bending were not awesome. Next time I'm taking a few days off!

Haven’t had this done, but I had a kidney stone a few years ago. I was examined very thoroughly in that area by the lady doctor, with my wife sitting there watching. I rate that whole experience a negative billion out of ten.

It was also pretty cold in the room....
