I shot a G5 19 yesterday that my buddy recently bought. Honestly couldn’t tell a difference between it and a G3 or G4. No finger grooves was nice though.

Some people complain about the cut on the front of the grip to aid in magazine removal. They say it digs at their pinky finger, but I didn’t notice it. But I only put 2 mags through it.

    I might pick one up.

You guys have a great collection! I'm on the market for a pistol as for brand it's in the air Sig, Glock, FNH, HK and on the market for a AR as well. Purchased a S&W model 642 with Crismon Trace grip for the wife

    Yes...amazing

I dunno, I have the 19x which I think falls into the gen5 family...it has the new trigger and barrel...either the balance of the longer grip or the new parts cause me to be far more accurate with the 19x than my gen4 19

Its an amazing shooter. The trigger is scary its so smooth. Only downfall is the weight. Mines the "Nightmare Carry" version with a 4in barrel, but I hate carrying it. Just too damn heavy. After carrying the Glock, its hard to go back to the weight of the all metal Nightmare for any substantial amount of time.

The Nightmare is the gun I'll never sell, ever, she's special. I use the Glock more, but its just another gun to me.

I didn’t shoot it back to back with earlier gens. So it’s possible it would be more accurate. But I’ve always found stock Glock pistols to be very accurate anyway. To me it just felt like any other 19.

Yesterday I brought out my SBR, my Wilson Combat Beretta 92A1, and my S&W 686 .357 magnum. It was my first time shooting the revolver since I got it for Christmas from my father. That is one smooth pistol. The single action trigger breaks at what feels like 3 pounds and it’s incredible. It was made back in the early 80’s when they actually put in some time on the guns fitting parts rather than just cranking them out like today.

My personal favorite handguns are the HK P series and the Beretta 92/M9 family. My daily carry is a HK P2000 9mm and the pistol I use the most at the range is a Wilson Combat modded Beretta 92A1.

The P2000 is a compact and is pretty much identical in size to a Glock 19. Easy to conceal but still a grip I can get my large hands on.

I prefer hammer fired DA/SA pistols to striker fired.

Oh, and the paddle mag release on HK and some Walther pistols is awesome. Better than the traditional button release IMO. And the P2000 is cool in that’s it’s totally ambidextrous stock. Mag release and slide lock lever on both sides and the de cocker on the back. The P30 is also full ambi.

If you can, try a P30. You’ll fall in love.

Thanks! I love revolvers and have several more in the safe. Here's a traditional 1872 single action that I just love (had to take it apart and smooth all of the action parts and it is as smooth as silk):

This revolver is a Cimarron 1872 Navy Open Top in .38 Special made by Uberti. Uberti is renowned for exact replications of historic firearms and this one is no exception. Picking this revolver up transports one to a place in history that has to be experienced to be believed. Slowly pulling the hammer back to full cock is something no modern revolver can replicate. One solid hunk of steel this is.

I have. I have a great FFL locally that makes the process easy. They send all the necessary paperwork over to the seller right away and I don't usually experience any delays. I think like most internet sales it's only as good as the people involved.
