    Good day all.
I have 2015 TRD 4x4, new to me. I am looking at getting a soft roll up tonneau cover for the back. Yesterday I talked with someone from a truck acc. place and they were telling me that I need special rail clips as the Toyota side rails are different then the other manufactures??
I found a tonneau cover on Amazon and it says that it will fit but shows the regular clips and these as well, which I am not sure what they are.

The clips that I know are these one:
but have been told they are not the right ones.

does anyone have any an pics of what the right clips look like? or can point me in the right direction here.

It depends on whether your truck has the cargo management rails or not. Most manufacturers of good tonneau covers like Access and Truxedo have models specific to the cargo rail option. The price shouldn't vary and clamps shouldn't be "in addition to". 20180315_122843.jpgThese are the clamps that Access uses. The one on the left is for use with the cargo rail, the one on the right is for trucks without the rails.

I have a Lund, and I can't say enough good about their customer service. The truly stand behind what they sell. My clips are similar to the bottom ones you have pictured....the top came with extra parts to configure to different trucks. Works great on mine. I have the clip-in style...kind of like a zip-seal...no velcro or snaps.

Sorry to bring this up again, still looking for a cover. Clicking around Amazon.ca and trying to find something that has the clips for the cargo management rails.... no one seems to have that point in their product descriptions :( The wife wants the tri fold soft cover but needs to be easy to remove (as in no tools) reason being we take a lot large items in the back and the last section of the cover will just get broken. I have already pointed out to her the roll up ones work and you don't need to keep removing them, just roll it up, But she still wants the tri fold.
Because the truck has the cargo rails does that mean I have to use them, as in have to buy the proper clips? Do they make a cover that uses the cargo rails and is still no tools required to remove?

Look at the bak revolver x4 best of both worlds and doesn’t take up a bunch of space in the bed when rolled up.

Amazon descriptions are not always accurate or complete (I buy a lot from Amazon - great customer service and returns are easy). You can research various covers by going directly to the manufacturer site or some of the bigger on-line retailers. Find what you like and will work with your setup and then search for that part number on Amazon.
