So my brother most likely will be moving to Austin soon. All you Austin guy give me some tips for him in the rental hunt. Also some info on some cool spots to check out.

He is a Delaware boy threw and threw so I am sure it will be a big change for him.

there is a big meet up this saturday in austin for tundras...he should come. I know of a few guys that have large land that he could hunt. if not one of my customers has 20000 acres that we could hunt together....

No tip here. But I used to live I Houston. Visited Austin a handful of times and can say it’s one of my favorite places. Great city and awesome vibe. A lot of food trucks.

Thanks for the info man. My brother should be moving there maybe at the end of summer now. We like to hunt here in Delaware but have no where near that much land. I guess I’ll have to visit him more than I thought I was going too.

I heard there was a lot of food trucks there. If I get roped into helping him move I’ll have to check them out

6th street is the “happening street” as the kids say.

Whatever your style or food preferences you’ll at least find it or a unique twist on it.

if he doesn't have to live directly in Austin, I recommend living in Georgetown, round rock, cedar park, or Pflugerville.

I can also recommend a realtor for him to use to find a good rental.

I used her to find a rental when I moved from MA to the Austin area and when I bought my house. I highly recommend her.

if your brother needs more help or advise, send me a message. I am willing to help :)

hah... dirty sixth? i don't think it is what it once was. there are better places to visit than that street.

but yeah, the food choices in this area are amazing. i think i gained 10 pounds when i first moved here :)

Austin is where it’s at! I’m in round rock myself and love the north side! But south side has more of the Austin feel for sure....

I myself am a licensed realtor so if he needs any help finding a place, shoot me a pm. He won’t regret the move! I’ve beeen here my whole life and can’t see living anywhere else!

Well fellas it is official my brother will be moving down that way. Him and his wife will move in Oct. They went on a rental hunt last time they went there and are in the process of figuring that out. I haven't spoke with him yet to see where they were looking but did forward the tips you all have given to him before they went. Thanks

awesome :) have him join ATXTC: we had a get together last night and we had about 25 families attend. part of the get together was to support the kid of one of the families. he just got out of the hospital because of a deadly illness. we surprised him with a bunch of gifts. he was stoked and his mom was balling. the whole thing hit you in the feels :)

Lago Vista, Lake Travis very near, hill country living, deer are like pets here. They even stop for autos when they are crossing the roads.
Everyone is very friendly. Boat launches, swimming pools, lake adventures. etc. etc.,
