Every time I use it I wish for CarPlay. Since you are 3.0, it sounds like CP will be an option for you. I'm jealous. Sure wight Toyota would give us 2.0 users a firmware update to add CP. Oh well. Good luck

I unfortunately have Entune 2.0. It is by the far the worst part about my truck. But hey, it’s a “first world” problem. Anyway, I didn't buy my truck based on the stereo, I bought it because I plan on driving it for the next 15 years and the reliability is unmatched.

IMO Toyota has really done a disservice to their buyers by sticking with this archaic, unreliable, and cumbersome Entune interface. I can’t get my texts to read without toggling Bluetooth on/off every time I get in the car, the voice recognition is abysmal, and the GPS is lacking.

With the majority of auto makers going to Apple or Android CarPlay- it’s a shame they still push this garbage. I can always go aftermarket after my 10/100 warranty is up.

I hope you have better luck with 3.0.

I'm not going to wait until the warranty runs out...I am saving my pennies for this as my next mod!

I can't say enough about how much an aftermarket headunit changes things up in these trucks. Part of why I got my Tundra was I'm pretty sure it's the only full size still with a replaceable HU.

I want to replace mine, but not sure how all the other stuff that is connected will work.

Does anyone know if the back up camera works with the aftermarket display, does the stereo control still work from the steering wheel, and can you still see the nav directions in the dash screen?
