I have a 2018 with 5.7 V8 and wanted to know if I bought the flowmaster muffler, but wanted to keep my tail pipe and everything else but the stock muffler, would I need to purchase anything else to make it work?

    Came here to recommend this...

    /END THREAD. ;)

But really. I had a Super 40 made up for my truck... Found the BAMF for a steal, never turned back. Okay, once I turned back and put a Magnaflow on for like a week but switched back to the Bamf real quick. :D Love the budget dumped!

What else would I need with the muffler or can I get away with just that? Also, the cost? I believe your shipping is pretty high, where if I purchased the flow master, the shipping is free. Lastly, do I lose anything with just purchasing a muffler only?

On a tundra, with ‘just a muffler’ you somehow need to cut in a Y pipe in front of that muffler.

Our shipping on just a muffler, or just a muffler with y pipe welded to it, is generally $35-$45. But this is just a muffler that gains low end torque, and hp. It’s nkt just sound and even more restrictive than stock:) Just sayin.

If the choice is still flowmaster in the end, make sure to buy the ‘generic’ not the ‘actual thing’. The generic is made by flowmaster. They just don’t stamp their name into it. Pretty smart to make their own generic muffler. Same thing, way cheaper.

Call me if you have any questions.

Are you talking about Flow Sound? If so, I had them about 15 years ago on a 99 f150.
As far as just the muffler with stock pipes, how restrictive does it get?

I know this is an old thread but do you still offer the option of just a muffler? If so, how much for one that is similar to the flow master 50?

dirty deeds budget dumped is $850. for that might as well go with a complete cat back system for another 100 and actually pass safety inspection (in Texas you must have a muffler). just my $0.02
-yes i know this thread is old, but still relevant.

I went with a Flowmaster 50 series muffler and new Y pipe. Total cost for parts and labor was under $400 CDN

What do you think of it? Much drone on at freeway speeds?

I can still carry on a conversation and do not have the radio on full blast at highway speeds. It is certainly louder than stock but do not find the drone excessive

With our current sale it’s $700 shipped. Delete the Helmholtz resonator and that brings it down to only $600 shipped.

this is for a bolt on solution made of stainless steel. It won’t rot off in a couple of years and your stock system isn’t hacked up.

give a call for more info 760-877-4234
