I bought weathertech mats for my 2015 crewmax right when I got it and have loved them...till now. I live in Wisconsin so we get a lot of snow here and as soon as it melts it's flowing over the side to the door. Why would they make a mat that doesn't trap melted snow? There is nothing to stop it from going out the door front or back. Kind of wish I would of got husky now for the lip they have that traps water. Wish husky mat in the back went as far as the weathertechs...

Husky has an updated version that covers more in the rear, check their site.

I have Husky's in front and WeatherTech in the rear, but any rubber mat is going to give you the same results. That is the downside of them, they puddle, and puddles move around. They don't stain though, and they are easy to clean.

You really need to hit your boots together before getting in to knock the snow off, its become a habit for me now. Or keep some paper towels and a plastic bag handy to dry up and dispose of the mess if its unavoidable.

I do, but it seems like it can't hold much water at all...I'm going to try an make some double sided tape dams. I have some gorilla tape so maybe that will work.

Another reason why I went with Husky contours. They've done great with all sorts of weather being tracked on them. Sorry for your luck, OP.

I'm going to switch to Huskies and ditch my Weather Techs. For one thing they are too slippery. It's hard to deal with snow with any floor mat, especially if you are constantly getting in and out of your truck. When I was in Anchorage, I pretty much had a constant sheet of ice on my driver side floor boards after awhile. I couldn't even remove my driver side mat be because it was embedded in the ice. My truck was always parked outside and never drove far enough for anything to thaw out. Kinda sucked.

I hated my weather techs in my Silverado. Went husky with the Tundra and couldn't be happier.

For those with the Husky's, did you go with the weatherbeater or the x-act contour liners? I have only seen them online so I can't tell what the difference is beside the tread pattern.

I didn't see much difference between the Contours and weatherbeaters, the weatherbeaters have full coverage in the back.

Any pics?, I might sell my Weathertechs and get the weatherbeaters. I have a 5 year old so having the mat go up and over into the back is a must.

I HAD the Xact Countours Huskys....did not like them and returned them exchange for Weatherbeaters. The XactContours are really flimsy and soft material so they are really squishy. Weatherbeaters are more ridgid and dont move around and fit really good. I hated the Xact Contour but thats just me. I live really close to Husky so i just drove down there to return them.

I only have the front pair. Passenger side is near new and my driver side is not in bad shape. I've made so many good deals on Craig's List, I'll just give them away. Pay it forward.

My Weather Techs were in my truck when I bought it. Time to dump them. Weather Tech advertises in literally every magazine including Readers Digest. Just like Harbor Freight does. There are a lot of cool things available for our trucks that aren't advertised in main stream magazines, including the so called "main stream" 4X4 mags. Lots of cool things here on this site to buy that you will not see any where else.

Just wanted to give an update on the Husky weatherbeaters. I just got them in from Amazon Warehouse and they were brand new. I love the fit and for over 1/2 off, it's a great purchase.

Question...which weathertech is everyone bitching about? The All-weather or DigitalFit?
I can't speak to the Tundra, but I have the DigitalFit weathertech's in my Tacoma. I've dumped an entire can of soda in mine. Still drove home and pulled the mat with the carpet bone dry.

I understand personal preference, and Husky is cheaper, but why the weather tech beat down. I have the digital fit and they are outstanding. As for passenger side, you can get the 2" round velcro to stop mat from sliding. No problems:D

I sort of hate my Weather Tech digital fits ( lower case by the way) #1. You can't dump them out if they can't collect anything. Sloshes all over, doesn't trap anything. duh. #2 Slippery as hell. Too many observations of that issue by several people that get into my truck. #3. Velcro doesn't work too good either with heavy daily use any time of year. Depends where you live and work, and the in & out traffic. Just sayin. My new Rugged Ridge mats ( on order and I actually got to field test in my friends Jeep before I bought them), will actually collect melted snow, sand dirt, (without my boots sliding all over the place), whatever, so I can actually dump them out. The most popular advertised floor mats in Readers Digest aren't necessarily the "best" for my use. After spending 10 months in the worst recorded winter ever in Anchorage in 2012, working outside in those conditions, and not to mention the typical Colorado winter, I think I know what mats work for me and what sucks for me. Definitely not WT Digital Fits. IMHO. Was your caps lock stuck?????????

Well Mat, that is duly noted. I bought the weather tech's because of the reviews from this forum. The Huskys are definitely a possibility for my next Tundra.

I'll be posting a review here after I get my Rugged Ridge mats. If they suck, I'll note that. If they are truly as good as I think they will be, I will report on that. I think that for most here, the Weather Techs or Husky Liners will fit the bill. Both brands provide a lot of protection to keep your carpet clean if that is the highest priority. I need something that is not slippery, provides a good grip when working/playing in adverse conditions, and will last.

Like they are saying they don't hold any amount of water, it just moves around until it makes it to the door where there is nothing more then a 1/4 inch bump. Besides the water problem I've been happy...but living in Wisconsin i need a mat that can trap the water until it evaps or I dump it. The weather beaters have a ridge on the edge that I wish the weathertechs had. I'm running my stock winter mats on top of my Weathertechs until I decide if I want to get the huskies.

Yeah, the Husky weather beaters seem to have the edge over W Techs. I'm waiting to see how the Rugged Ridge fit is. Not sure if they will protect as much carpet as W Techs or Husky's, but I like how they grip. Grip being right up there at the top of my list. After all, were only talking about floor mats. But they are worth talking about, getting opinions. That's what this forum is all about. There's no right or wrong.

The Husky's utilize the stock fasteners on the drivers side and provide a screw in fastener with a cap for the passenger side. As for the rear, I tucked them under seat storage and it set them in place pretty good.
