We drove in about 21 miles and the GPS calculated 10 more miles we will be on the pave road but I don't know how tough the trail ahead will be and its dark so we returned the same trail where we came from and save that for the next expedition trip.

Hi, Jimmy! I love that you get out and about a lot. I sometimes have weekdays off and think itd be fun to explore with just a couple or 3 trucks, so let me know if I should hit you up sometime between official meets.

Just a couple weeks before you joined this forum, we did a big meet-and-play in Anna-Borrego on 1/25/18: hit Lower Coyote Canyon, Fish Creek Wash, and... Sandstone Canyon-? An inlet through one of those beautiful formations in these pics you posted. If you wanna see more pics, there's a thread on here.

Or you could just keep exploring and posting your pics for us to see!!

So you came in from the North end? The normal way out the South end is going up Diablo Dropoff and then onward through a few more washes until you hit the S2, which will take you to the I-8. If you're only a 4x2, you might have some trouble going up the dropoff.

    He's in a well-equipped 4x4 first gen.

I'll be looking for pics of the rest of the route soon, @01erionracing. :boink:

Hmm... Didnt realize going up the Diablo Drop was possible. I mean, yeah.. it is possible, but I thought that it was supposed to be one way (down) only.

That's more of a recommendation so people don't get stuck and call for help.
