Is Dual the brand of the lightbar in your front NFAB? If so, how are you liking it? Looking at either pods or a lightbar to go in it.

No it's an Arsenal (Amazon cheapie). So far so good and can't beat the price. My theory is as long as I get a year of use out of it and have to replace it every year for 10 years I'm still under what these go for lol. We'll see if that holds

I thought about putting pods in but then didn't want to deal with the wiring, combinations of lighting, mounting etc. I may try a smaller light bar with some pods on the sides if I have to replace the existing bar. I think @Almaboy has or had something similar

Not yet :(. Work is kicking my ass lol. Plan is Saturday.

I was thinking of mounting the arb in the cab so it's protected from the dust and elements but I like the idea of a quick connect in the bed of the truck. I also plan to get lockers when I regear to 4.88s so I'm leaning towards under the bed somewhere

Yeah but at least it would be easier / less costly to replace a pod vs an entire LB if a segment goes out.

And you can angle the pods and have different style lights

I really like this setup. Get the spot from the LB and the pods can provide the wide angle

I fabbed a mount for the engine bay, then ran a hose with quick connect to the rear wheel well. This way when camping it's close to the bed for filling air mattress etc. and the quick connect never gets hot. Also didn't usurp any space from the cab and am insulated somewhat from the noise for lockers and the hood and doors can be shut when filling anything. No hose dragging across paint either, like anyone would notice it with all the pinstripes I've got.

No drilling, it uses existing mounting points. I know you like doing your own work so let's see it!ARB mount.jpg

That's a good idea. One thing I thought about was the echo of the compressor from under the bed, even though it's not that loud lol. I like the wheel well idea too so it's more hidden. I did think about making two connect points, one in the front and 1 in the rear but I think it would be easier to get a longer hose lol.

Did you make that?! Looks BA! Challenge accepted!

2 connect points is a good idea. I have a 25' coil hose and I store it in a 12" long piece of plastic drain pipe. I drilled a small hole in it cause after gluing one cap on the other one is a bugger to pull off. I'm thinking of hanging the pipe from the bed rails.
Yep. Made the mount. I wish I'd written down the dimensions so I could just send ya a drawing.

That light bar looks identical to mine. You gonna rock the corner covers? Or put some pods in there?
