    Hey fellas.

The Pro grill is the cat's pajamas and all the rage. I finally tossed one into my rig last night and she has has a whole new look.

I thought I would post up some info for those looking to do the switch and offer up some advise for those who might want to keep the chrome surround (I know, I know, but there are a few of us)

    First off here she be:
    1.jpg 2.jpg 3.jpg

Like the thread title says she's a 1D6 Silver Sky Metallic with the SR5 (chrome) trim/surround which I have opted to keep... for now...

This is NOT an OEM TRD Pro grill, I found on eBay for $189.00 shipped. Seeing how all I needed was the insert, I did not want to spend the $ for an OEM part. And I gotta say, it looks good, deff a real decent knock off!

Install was slicker than snot on a doorknob. Took maybe 30 min and one IPA total. Guys have mentioned that removing the inserts will be the tricky part and I gotta say it was not that bad. I snapped off all the taps on the "donor" Pro grill and had that apart in 5 min. I took my time on the chrome surround and only broke off 2 tabs total. This is in a 30 deg cold New England garage mind you :) The insert from the "donor" grill clicked and screwed firmly into place on the OEM chrome surround and I had the whole thing back into the truck in no time.

All and all, SUPER easy and if your looking to to the TRD Pro grill swap but don't want to break the bank, the one linked below is a great alternative.

    Cheers fellas!

Yessir, just a little finesse and they will come right apart. You just can't force it.

    Update - Ditched the chrome!

Dipped the chrome on the front and rear bumpers and added a color matched grill surround with my TRD Pro grill. Overall very happy with the new look.

Think I need some black headlights now...

I have the on there, and at the time I had Falken Wildpeaks in a 265/75r18. I've since swapped them out for a set of 285/75r16 Nitto Terra Grapplers.

They fit just fine, no complaints. I have sense moved on for a color match surround and color matched the bumper corners. HERE is that thread if your interested.

mr_souc......did that toytec spacer kit change the ride or handling on your truck? Any issues with clearance with those tires on the stock wheels and that lift?
