It's a full solid state system with no mechanical relays or fuses. I'm not 100% sure but I believe it doesn't require a 0V (Negative) because the accessory gets grounded to to the chassis or battery. I had ran my grounds to the negative terminal on the battery and the positive to the switch pros. Everything works perfect :)

got my switchpro installd and hooked up my squadron pros on the hood latch mount - so sweet. now I gotta figure out what to do the 7 other switches.

any update on which wire you tapped into to run the factory fogs?
I'm running squadrons sports with the OEM adapters right now and I have the anytime foglight mod done, but it would be sweet to have full control of the fogs without the parking lights on either.

I ended up picking up a few wiring pieces from Baja Designs.

    2-Pin, 55" Splitter
    2-Pin, Upfitter Wiring Harness

With these two pieces I had both Squadrons connect into one lead with two wires: a Positive Wire (White) and Negative Wire (Black). I ran the white wire to my switch Pros connection and the black wire to the battery. I can now control the Squadron Sports anytime.

IF you also want to utilize the OEM fog light switch, all you have to do is run the Fog Light Wire (Green) from the OEM connector to the Pink Wire on the Switch Pros. With the App you can set which circuit that trigger controls. When set to your Squadrons they will also activate when your fog light switch is turned on. You just have the option to control them independent by using the app or power panel itself.

A couple of questions. I asked these in other threads so it may be a repeat, but I want to do it right and once. I have briefly looked over the instructions but haven't studied them yet.

    1. what location did you use for the ignition? did you use the add a fuse.
    2. what location did you use for the lights, and the color of the wire.
    3. For the trigger button, I plan on using it for the reverse lights, but I want to be able to turn it on and off. So can I have the truck in park and turn on the reverse lights without it being in reverse and/or Can I have the truck in reverse and turn them off. If I want these functions would I be better off just connecting it to the button without the trigger and turn it on/off with the button. Thanks for the write up.

I'm not trying to answer for Bailey, just thought I'd try to contribute with another perspective.

1: I used an add-a-fuse (low profile one) and tucked the ignition wire into the underhood fuse box. It was thin enough that didn't require any drilling into the fuse box.
2: I did not tap into the parking light signal yet so I used the app and made that signal wire a "trigger 2." when it's set up as "trigger 2" the backlight is always whatever setting you set on the app (I have it down to 5%). I plan on running that wire through the firewall and tapping into the in-cab parking light wire (I believe it's light green). So far my main goal is to not run taps under the hood.
3: if you don't really care to trigger it with the reverse lights, just run it to the switchpro and turn it off/on as you please. the benefit of the trigger is that it will automatically turn it on/off for you. You will still be able to manually control the light even if you have a trigger for it.

    Always looking for more perspectives.

Wasabi4 did you usethe add-a-fuse that came with the kit? What fuse did you plug into?

Just a curious question. Why do you not want to tap under the hood?

After reading through this and other threads I am going to tap into the reverse lights. It is going to give me what I want.

Thanks for any replies all perspectives are welcome.

I used an add-a-fuse mini low profile. (https://www.amazon.com/Shipping-CIR...5&sr=8-3&keywords=add+a+fuse+mini+low+profile) The one that came with the switchpros didn't fit. I just happened to have one leftover from when I did a dashcam install.

As far as the fuse, I used a voltmeter to find one that was ignition powered. Most of the fuses were 12v constant so it took a while to find. I'll try to take a pic when I get home.

as far as using taps under the hood, I'm just kinda old school in that I feel electrical connections like splices are better done with solder and heat shrink. taps are probably good, but I figured I could do it once and not worry about it.

    Sorry about the delay :)

    1. I used the included Add-A-Fuse and tapped into the under-hood Ignition Fuse labeled "IGN"
    2. Tapped into the parking light wires directly behind the drivers headlight. It was easier to access with the headlight removed. Can't remember the wire colors and can't see them anymore with the headlight re-installed.
    3. Personally, I'd wire the backup lights to a switch and control them independently. With the trigger you'd have to send 4 wires all the way up to the engine bay (OEM Positive, OEM Negative, Aux Light Positive, Aux Light Negative) instead of 2 up to the front (Aux Light Positive, Aux Light Negative). Keep the trigger for something up near the front like high beam activated light bars or aux lights.

Hey guys this is actually my first post... I just ordered this Switch Pro module. This may be a noob question, but do you directly wire this module to the lights? To clarify what I am asking, if I didn't have this module i would use a wiring harness with relay, and switch. With the module do I still need the wire harness and relay, or directly wire my light bars, pods, and what not to this module? Also as for my pods is it ok to wire them together on to one switch? I am mechanically inclined, but when it comes to wiring I struggle.

Correct. No need for the lights harness relay switch. All you need are the lights and some wire to connect to the sp brain.

Awesome thanks man! As for the high beam trigger you mentioned, I just need to tap into the high beam wire and then does the module have wires I connect that to for the trigger, or do i connect it to whatever switch I want triggered? I just ordered so haven't actually got it yet to dig into.

You can tap the trigger to anything you want. Can be for backup lights, high beams or anything you want.

So I would tap into it and wire it to the power wire of say switch 1 then if that were the case?

Did you use the the supplied add a fuse or did you buy one. I tried mounting mine but the tundra fuses didn’t seem to fit in. It seems the teeth were too short.

Another problem. I have run into is the control panel isn’t working. The lights I connected to panel come on with app but not with controller. This may resolve itself when I connect the blue wire

Yes I use the tap that came with the switch and yes you need to connect the blue wire for the controller to work.

So it will work. Yes I pulled the fuse from the ign spot but it didn’t seem to seat properly. It just fell out. I didn’t want to force it and break the fuse without a replacement. I didnt see and extra one of that amp. So should I just push harder?

Is your tap something like this? If so just push it in harder.

No mine is different. I think that explains my problem. On yours it looks like you have a pocket that the fuse goes in. On mine it is flush. The the teeth on the fuses in my tundra are shallow. The fuse holder looks like it is made for longer teeth. I see at the bottom of the thread there is a “this is what is used in this thread”. I’ll see if that looks like yours

I just double check the other fuse tap that I tap was the same one you have and I think that was the one came with the switch.yes you need a longer fuse that have longer teeth. Sorry should check the other fuse tap!

Thanks for all the help and advice. I had time today to hook it up and it works great. I ordered a new add a fuse from Amazon and it slipped right in.

Its pretty easy, just make sure you have the right add a fuse. I used both SDHQ mounts for mine and it was an easy install. of course I had to the pick the brains here a bit.

I know this thread is dead but I wanted to see if I could get a response. I've got the switch pros 9100 installed. Im curious to why the picture above used 3 fuse taps. The blue to ignition, I get that. And where did you run all the negative wires? TIA
