O.k. its been a couple of months and the wrinkles are not coming out. I have tried taking my tonnoue cover off and have the sun warm it and re position the bedrug but the wrinkles will not go away. I have attached a few pix of what i am dealing with. The wrinkles you see is where the bedrug was folded and placed into the box for shipping i was hoping that in time it would smooth out. Any ideas on what i can do?

    Thank You

    J

Maybe getting wet would help. Have you tried calling the manufacturer? That would irritate me.

I had similar issue with mine last year. Seems like its not molded correctly in my opinion. Called Bedrug cause place where I bought would do nothing for me. Bedrug did replace it but to be honest the replacement wasn't much better. More Velcro did help some, and it has seemed to get a little better with time. Still nor perfect though.

I had similar issue with the BedRug in my Tacoma, on one side. Pretty poorly formed, IMO. When I bought one for my Tundra, I skipped getting the version with the sides, partially for that reason.

I have a bed rug that sits flat in the bed without sides. I'm very happy with it.

    Maybe hot steam might help?

I decided I am going to get the bed rails to hold the top of the bed rug better and add some more velcro and try a heat gun to hopefully form it better. /cross fingers!

Could be a DC thing for my CM fits like a glove. When I installed it, I did roll it tight from the front to the rear with plenty of Velcro.

Are the bed rails fastened thru the bud rug or did you cut the rug just below it?

Be very careful going at it with a heat gun. As much as the material looks and feels like carpet it's not, it's plastic. It's actually made from recycled water bottles and will melt. I would remove it and at the creases fold it the opposite direction then lay flat, form the wheel wells and put some weight on the flattened portions. When I install a bedrug I start with the bulkhead, using my toes to kick the lower corners in tight and work my way back. On the sides I kneel with a knee on either side of the wheel well. That holds the rug down tight forcing it to take the shape of the wheel well sticking the lower Velcro all the way to the tailgate and then I go back and do the top Velcro front to back.

No, I trimmed it just under the rails.

Wow that looks bad. I was planning on getting this for my DC. Guess I’ll look for something else.

    Hope you get it solved.
