The 2,100 mile drive to and from Coloroda with my Tundra was amazing! I used my NSV hood bulge LED light bar a lot on long dark roads. IMG_1717.jpg

I finally got my wiring for my rigid RGB rock lighting all done. It turned out amazing and super bright! I can change the lights to any color and set them on a a shuffle pattern and dim them.

It appears you used the "Contura V" type switches and switch holder plates...do you remember what thickness works under OTRATTW "mounting plate" choices for the Tundra?

Also, did you use their terminal housings to wire the switches with?

I didn't have to use any mounting plate under the switch holder. I notched each one of the factory raised ridges so the plate lays flat.

I made my own terminal switch mounts and soldiers & heat shrunk all my own wiring.

@IUPPER - did you have to cut anything to get the 30 inch radiance installed in the bumper? Im being told by 4WheelParts that they don't think I can get one in that space. Feedback appreciated!

You can fit a 40" bar with trimming.

Nothing behind the bumper has to be cut. I used the Rago Fabrication bumper bracket. You can also use rigid Industries bracket. 4 wheel parts told me the same thing. No one had put a full size bar in yet. So I measured to make sure it would fit. You can see more pics on my install in my build thread. It's not a big deal to mount it.

I've got some plans to modify a set of 2018 Headlights. It's going to be something that hasn't been done yet. I'm looking forward to seeing the end results. IMG_2164.jpg

Hey @1UPPER, I noticed that you have the NVS hood bulge led light with their switch panel but you also have another switch labeled "Hood Vent Light". Does that control the same light bar and if so, what is the advantage to having 2 separate switches for the same light bar?

Good morning. I actually had the switched labeled that way prior to my NSV bar. I used to have a 40" slim line LED in the hood bulge. I've changed my switch labels since that photo. The three switches for the NSV light bar functions are the full lightbar on, swipe back and forth and the strobe function.

Any change in your MPG's after the new gears were installed? Trying to figure out if I want to re-gear too. Any help would be appreciated.
    BTW, nice truck!

Yes I did see an increase in MPG. I'm not a good example as to how much your MPG can increase since I like to use my gas pedal a lot. Lol What size tires are you running? By the way welcome to the forum!

Thank you, I am running 35x 12.50 Toyo MTs. I definitely lost 2.5 MPGs when I put the lift kit on with the bigger tires. Most of my drive is at highway speeds and the truck wants to downshift on small hills. Plus if I tow I want the low end power back. I know these tires and wheels weigh a lot more than the stock ones.

Also, from deciphering all your posts, it looks like you did a 6" ProComp drop bracket kit and then basically added a mid travel kit on top to get extra height?

Thanks again for the quick response.

I originally ordered the 7" BDS lift but decided to sell it without the fox Coil overs. I have a 7" Pro Comp lift now with fox Coil overs, fox rear reservoir Shocks, coach builder shackles, steering ends, icon upper control arms and a few other stuff. I'm very happy with my setup.

Awesome truck @1UPPER. I am new here and had question if anyone has heard how to get the strobe function back on the gen 2 nsv bar? I thought about wiring per old instructions but hate to mess up brand new light

Welcome to the forum. I can call the NSV rep and ask. I personally don’t think changing the wires back to the stock setting would damage your light. I’ll send him a message tomorrow. Did you look at the original instructions I posted on the NSV thread?

It looked like the only difference was the #8 and #3 pin. Correct? Is that what your referring to? That would be awesome if you could find out!

I haven’t compared the wiring differences between the two. I can ask him tomorrow if it’s just a wiring change. He is a cool guy who works directly with the engineers.
