I found someone who replaced both bumpers on their pro (assuming it was a pro) and i grabbed the color matched caps. I'm stuck on the rears. The seller gave me everything for the front and rear. Removing the stock ones was a pain, but got them off. I cant figure out how to the new ones go on.
The ones from the pro have a huge plastic piece behind the cap that i was assuming replaced the metal brace behind the chrome ones. Problem is, is that there is a nut thats welded (i think it is, i took a cresent wrench to it and its not going anywhere) that isnt making it sit flush. Am i doing something wrong? I thought i would maybe remove the plastic brace piece from the color matched caps but i dont think it will work.

That plastic "brace" was recalled and updated with a metal bracket....... I know I know, didn't answer your question, sorry.

I was hoping it was easy to pull apart 'cause I'm replacing mine soon.
I think the rears can't be just swapped w/o some additional parts. I think I remember @Roman creating a thread about it.

Anyone know if a dealership will replace recalled parts that are off of a car?

I ended up leaving my bumper dissasembled since it was such a PITA to pull those top pieces off. Thankfully i have a commuter car.

Roman wasn't going to be able to get me the parts for this weekend so i called a couple local dealerships.....$500+ for both of them. NO WAY.
I did a quick search on ebay and found a set of L/R ones for $200 shipped and they would get it to me by this weekend. lucked out. Kicker is that they come with the painted caps too (in black). I guess i'll try to sell them to recoup some of the cost.

    Thanks for you guys help.

They are not sir. Congratulations on anyone who got them off, but I spent over two hours on Sunday trying to get my rear bumpers off, with no progress whatsoever.
