Thanks for posting, going to be useful if I upgrade to a leather steering wheel.

You are welcome. I'm thinking of getting the old one wrap to match the seat or perhaps a TRD red. I wonder how much some thing like that would cost.

Good video! I've wanted a wood wheel since my last vehicle had one, looks like the new Platinum Sequoia wheel would match the trim in my Limited. Curious why did you replace yours?

Thanks. I took my truck to get it washed and they F'ed up the leather. Let us know how your Sequoia wheel swap goes.

This could really come in hand as the "leather" is starting to wear on the wheel of my '16.

There is probably going to be a part II to my how-to video. :) Here is what I'm experiencing. When I was installing the new wheel the other day I noticed that I could not get the wheel to be completely centered like the old one was. The wheel was either slightly off to the left or slightly off to the right. If I centered the wheel it would not slide down the shaft. I thought perhaps I didn't straighten the front wheels properly. I installed the wheel and opted slightly off to the left as it was much closer to the center than going the other way. After driving it for a couple of days I confirmed that it's off to the left. So today I took it apart, marked the current position and moved it 1 click to the right and now guess what? The wheel is now off to the right. The truck drives straight so it's not alignment problem. I think the problem is that the spline on the new wheel is 1 click off-center. Removing and reinstalling the wheel again would not help. I think I need to do a little bit of adjusting at the tie-rod ends. So that's the project for this weekend.

As a side note. if I were removing and reinstalling the same wheel I would not run into this issue because I would have marked the position of the wheel and the shaft and more importantly the shaft and the wheel were already mated and adjusted from the factory so reinstalling the same wheel would have been a no-brainer. In my case marking the wheel would not have helped since I'm installing a new wheel.

Any thoughts? If you think I'm way off base please let me know.

    Thanks

What's the easiest way to only change the light bulbs on the steering wheel buttons?

I’m having the same issue after I just installed a new wheel. Did you ever fix the issue?! Thanks.

I know this is older but @nk1794 I did the same with mine. Its either to much to the left or too much to the right. I just deal with it as my alignment is off pretty bad right now.

    Guys,
Just take it to the shop for an alignment and they should be able to set the steering wheel straight for you.
