Where do you take your Baja Designs (BD) equipped ride? Doesn't matter if it's 2 wheels or 4 wheels, post up your favorite shots in your favorite spots!

Here are two photos I took yesterday near Bryce Canyon, UT. Visiting The Mighty 5 in UT (Zion, Bryce Canyon, Capitol Reef, Arches, Canyonlands) :D

Since nobody has seen this let’s get a couple more entries, but until we get more I’ve added some location pics and a “full frontal” for all to appreciate...

@BlueBottle @MotoTundra show some of your BD shots to wet some appetite!! Bailey was requesting some shots of where your truck has been with BD lights

Nice shots! Moab is fantastic, I would like to camp there when it's not so chilly.

btw, I did end up testing the S2 as a safety light in Canyonlands NP. It amazed me how many people were driving with their lights off. My headlights and fogs were on and you can barely see the tails illuminated. I walked a little bit further away and the truck pretty much disappeared (minus the S2 Sport, Amber Wide Cornering)

@Baja Designs you guys need to team up with a Fab shop to make some ditch brackets that will allow an S2 to mount below and above. That way you can insepenindepe run Amber facing front and white facing the ditch on a single ditch bracket

@ragofabrication makes an extension for their ditch brackets, allowing 2 lights to be intalled side by side. Not the above below configration you mentioned, which would be cool

Here’s a close up of mine, works great. Although this was before I realized I needed a spring on the antenna.

Rago wasn't interested in making it taller. I didn't want a side by side mount cause i feel it just wouldn't look as clean. If someone made it just a bit taller to fit an S2 pod under it would be much cleaner. I may just cut mine and weld something in to make it taller myself.

The LP9 just got a little bit BOLDER!

Introducing a new, more aggressive, cast housing for the LP9. One of the noticeable changes is the larger openings for the Direct Ducted Cooling at the top and bottom of the housing. This will increase airflow to the light and in return keep the light cooler allowing everything to run at peak performance longer. This housing also features a sleek black powder coat finish. Take a look at the website for more pictures and information!

I am looking to add lights at the A-pillar location. Just not sure what to use, squadron VS XL 80's. One concern is if I went all out for XL would it look out of place being so large? Next would be how noticeable is it from the cab? Would the squadrons look too small in comparison with the truck? I have been looking at pictures of both, just too hard to get a real feel of how each would look mounted in that location. Could I get away with these only and not run a light bar for good forward lighting? Any comments are appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks TRD15559! How are they from the inside looking out? I am concerned it will be annoying large object in your pirifial vision.

I have squadrons and they aren’t in the way. They actually look cool, but the glare is what I’m starting to question

    Yeah
I have amber squadrons on my pillar locations and have hood glare, BUT....it’s a white truck so the glare is probably more prevalent than a darker colored truck. I’m thinking of moving them to my bumper and pair up. I have a lightbar where these are and have moved the existing ones out to the sides

Ahhhh, gotcha. Thanks for the input! Those are the S2's and they say that they are ideal for fogs, rack, cornering, reverse ( not the expert on lighting, just looking at BD site ) and that may not be the ideal location for the S2. Which may be part of the glare issue. I am wanting something that is easy to install/easy to remove. If I go with a light bar it will be more terminate install.

So, I just realized the pic I sent was old.

My current setup looks like this:
40 inch bar in the center gap
S2 PROS are actually in my bumper now
Squadron Sports are on my A pillar mounts
Squadron sports on the back of my bedrack for reverse lighting

I’m thinking of moving the squadrons into the side gaps in the bumper as a driving combo Amber, while my S2s will serve as wide cornering. Sorry for the confusion

The S2s were absolutely perfect on the pillars because I angled them at about 60 degrees and could see right outside my driver side window, but they were wide cornering. The squadron sports I have are driving combos, and the reverse lights are flood configuration.

Just to clear it up for you....all of the lights I have come with any of the spread lighting you’re looking for. Just because they are S2s doesn’t mean you can’t get them in combo or spots, as well as wide cornering. Get in touch with Bailey @Baja Designs to help you find the most suitable selection

I wanna say the BD website says the wide cornering and combos perform best on the bumper, that might be why you’re getting so much glare. I have spots on my a pillar and the glare isn’t bad at all (white truck)

I've had spots and don't have much use for them. I need a spread. In my opinion spot beams are not accomplishing any goal that i'm looking to meet

Both the Squadron Series and XL Series will look great! Either option we'd recommend going with the Spot pattern for minimal glare. Wide Cornering is another option but is to only be used when aimed out towards the shoulder of the road. Otherwise your hood will blind you :)

I will say from personal experience I prefer the smaller lights on the A-Pillar. You don't tend to notice them as much and keeps the blind spots open.

Well thank you Bailey! Now to decide spots or combo..... like Almaboy, I feel like the spots may not be for me either. I want a little more of light to spread out/foward. I am trying not to do a light bar upfront.
