Hey guys, I just installed the NSV led bar on my 2018 Platinum and for some reason, I get a trailer brake error when I turn on any of the NSV switches and none of those functions work. The DRL works and when I unlock and lock the swipe lights work. Any ideas on what might be going on?

2018 headlight wiring is different then others I know. I installed my NSV on my 2017 that has 2018 lights and wiring harness there were a couple wires I had to switch from the normal install @inferno_pro_satx should be able to help.

Sting Ray your setup looks dope. I installed my NSV Lightbar a couple weeks back and I love it. Will be taking delivery of my 2018 headlights sometime early this week and will be following suit. I'm debating on whether I'll be deleting the DRL on the NSV or not. I prefer them to be off so as to no steal the limelight from the sweet DRL that the 2018 headlights produce. Did you leave it as is? I purchased the 18 Tundra PNP Conversion Harness from RETROFIT WHolesale so I'm hoping it's just as simple.

    http://retrofitwholesale.com/product/pnp-conversion-harness/

Are you running the Ihacker harness? I havent seen anybody post anything just yet about the one REtrofit Wholesale sells.. Or I havent come across it yet.

this is mine what mine looks like right now. Cant wait to take a proper photoshoot with the 18's once I get them installed. I've been Pm'ing inferno_pro_satx as well and he's been helping out. Just hoping this it all comes together without a hitch, but knowing my luck I'll have some hurdles to cross. Hopefully nothing crazy.

Sweet truck! I disabled my ambers on the headlights as I like the look better however I love the drl's on the NSV so I didn't add a switch to turn them off. I used the ihacker harness because it came with another relay and extra wiring to allow the drl's to dim automatically when you turn the parking lights and or headlights on, like factory. You'll need to swap a couple wires around in order to make it work with the NSV bar. Inferno helped me out with it and it was pretty simple. You're gonna love em. Let me know if you hit any snags or have any questions.

I just got my 2018 platinum and just pulled the trigger on the light bar. Hopefully the issue with trailer brake is resolved before I get and install mine. New member here so go easy on me please!

Another extremely happy camper courtesy of @inferno_pro_satx. FedEx mishandled on of boxes so I had to send the passenger side back to my headlight guy. Should turn around before mid next week if I'm lucky. Seeing the comparison in aesthetics is night and day. Love the 18's. Next mod is putting the NSV DRL on a switch similar to how @inferno_pro_satx did his. Not sure if I like them on paired with the 18 headlights.

I received my light bar and trying to locate instructions led me to the local rep. He informed me to use the cigarette lighter power for the switch panel illumination and power. Eliminating the need to tie into the trailer brake controller for the switch panel. I hope this helps anyone with the issue. Also on an 18 platinum you have to cut the blue. Or unpin both blues from the 2 T harness connectors. They are essentially the same wire. That goes to the purple on headlight motor (jumper wire)

Just a FYI if you do it that way the illumination lights will always be on. Why wouldn’t you not wanna use the trailer brake harness if it’s there for the correct wires ?

Don’t cut the blue wires on the t-harness, you’ll have to repin the white & blue wire on both ends and you’ll be fine.
The blue wire on the nsv should match up with the purple wire on the factory harness & red or pink on the factory harness should match up with the white on the nsv harness.

Jensen has been alittle confused on the 18 on up.

Oh crap I already cut the blue and did the modification per Jensen’s instructions. He advised using 1 wire from the cigarette lighter . Perhaps it was causing trailer brake error?

Honestly jensen is good but im not sure if you should have listened to him. Like i just stated @inferno_pro_satx is the man with wiring for this bar.

Just make sure the blue meets with with purple and red or pink meets with the white on the nsv.
If the blue isn’t used the nsv won’t dim at night that’s all. And if the white isn’t connected to the red or pink wire the swipe won’t work when locking or unlocking.

Ok thanks. That’s sounds simple. I didn’t even think until you brought up that the panel would always be illuminated using cigarette lighter. I guess I’ll use the brake controller and see if I get an error message.

Hey Fellas, What turn signal bulb are you using now if you changed them to LED? Was hoping run the VLED Triton, but wanted to see if I can get some realtime photos. Also since the new bulbs for the 18's are 7443 type and not the 3157 does that effect the CK necessity? Do I still purchase a CK style LED bulb? If you have any photo's I'd love to check them out. Looking for primarily white switchbacks but amber is cool to. Just need confirmation on the exact setup. CK or non. I also left my 3ohm resistors wired up. Should I leave those on? Thank you!

Update on the front turn signal bulbs for for the 2018 headlights. I reached out to Azblue who was tying to dig some info on some LED switchbacks that can replace the 7443a bulb. After several purchases from Amazon and countless blown fuses I finally was pointed in the right direction I purchased the 7443 "profile" LEDS from TRS and I love them!

ALso, another special shot out to inferno_pro_satx. I would have been so lost throughout this process without you brother. You da man

I have a 2018 1794. I am thinking about buying this light bar. What sort of wiring do's and don'ts do I need to know? I have the factory LED lights. When I was reading over thread some of it appears to be for problems with people who have added aftermarket LED lights, is that correct?

Taking things apart, bolting here and there is fairly easy for me. I get a little concerned when it comes to the wiring and wanted to make sure I had a decent understanding of how the wiring should work. I just went through a hassle getting my AMP Powerboards wired correctly.

Also, I guess I am not sure what the ihacker harness is for. I am assuming something to do with the aftermarket LED headlights.

    Thanks in advance!

There is a 3 part YouTube video that goes over the installation. It's really good.

You don't need the ihacker harness as that's for the 2018 lights which you you already have.

Thanks. I saw that video by Headlight Revolution, or is there another video you were referencing? However, when I read their printed instructions it says that the battery needs to be pulled out which was not in the video. Not sure if that is truly necessary.

You don't have to remove the battery, just disconnect it. And yes those are the video's.

Longer list than the wife needs to know about....
pulling the battery makes it easier to wire the jumper wire since you have a 1794 you'll need to do that step.
