It's finally coming here to my area on the 20th, I've always heard how good of a beer it is and I'll be at by package store to get a 6r. Is it as good as the Northerners claim? I'v heard so much about it and am anxious to try it.

If I am not mistaken it is the oldest brewery in the US. I always tip a couple when I get back to PA!

Cannot get it in SO CAL.

It’s good but not that good:). Don’t over hype it or you will be disappointed

It is all about what you can't have. Growing up in NE PA we all wanted to get some Coors.

Brewery is about 1/2 hour from me...They give tasting tours, but I've never been there.

Yea they claim to be the oldest brewery in America.....but by now their water supply is the sewer run off from all the farm land. Hence the Piss taste. I'd rather drink me some PBR in the can of course. When I want to get fancy, Heineken in the can, (bottle is stank,) and being Irish, I drink Guinness for water. Along with always being bold and trying other beers. After all there're so many. You can even have coffee flavored beer for breakfast now.....sure beats a stank left over from the night before.

Yuengling came to Ohio a few years ago. I used to pick up a case or two every time I was in PA. When it came out it was more of a "novelty" thing but now it's just a normal everyday beer. Don't get too excited...

Granted - it is pretty good and it's my go-to when places only have Bud, Coors, etc. Yuengling light is not good - stick with the regular.

Had a friend that used to bring home fat tire from Colorado cause we were not able to get it in NJ. They started selling it here about a year ago. I still buy it and like it but it was better when it wasn't available.

A life problem; the things we want are always better than the things we have.

It's alright. Had a lot of it because it's made in Tampa too so there's tons of PR and exposure for it. it's better to drink when it's colder out IMO.

I'm usually a Bud Light / Miller Lite drinker, but I had always heard from people about Yuengling and how good it was. So the first time I was in the D.C. area I found a liquor store and bought a 6 pack (also found out that you can't buy beer/liquor at a grocery or convenience store back east, which is weird), anyways, I was all excited until I tried it. I thought it was one of the nastier beers I've ever had, left it in the hotel mini fridge.

Living in CO, brewery's have to bring their A game.

My Co-worker is from PA, and she wouldn’t drink it over anything else here in CO.

Absolutely true.. When the fast food chain 'In-N-Out Burger' came to where I live.. There was so much hype it was unbelievable. People were lined up. Police were directing traffic. One kid on the news skipped school to be one of the first to get in.. I laughed my a** off.. Now that they have existed for a bit.. it's just another lame fast food franchise, and nobody cares.. It was a wild ride to watch for a while..

hahaa Lone Star... When I meet people from out of state I am asked about a Lone Star beer.. (and horses and tumbleweeds hahaaa) The first time I was asked about it I had to search to see if it was still being brewed!.. It is a label bought as a novelty by Pabst. The blues singer Katie Webster had a song that mentions Lone Star beer and using it to shine shoes.. haahaaaa

I had Yuengling for the first time last week in New Orleans, was pretty impressed with it. Especially since I generally don’t drink dark beer. Wish we could get it here in CO.

You can say that again.. CO knows beer. We finally got up to speed in Texas with the craft beer explosion.. but I am sure we won't ever catch CO, and certainly not CA.

I only drink it if the alternatives are Bud Light, Miller Lite etc.

Granted I mostly only drink IPA’s, barrel aged stuff, etc.

Better than Bud Light and all that garbage, but nothing special.

Don't drink too many or you will regret it in the morning (not talking about a hangover).

I like yuengling. It's a decent domestic. It's usually what I will opt for if something from a local brewery isn't available on tap.
I can't get a couple of my favorites in Alabama- New Glarus Spotted Cow (Wisconsin) and Maui Brewing Mana Wheat (West Coast). Wish I could, they are great beers.

Oldest American Brewery. I went to the brewery for a tour.. it was a fun trip. And have been drinking Yuengling for a long time... its not a bad beer but just don't have too high of expectations, especially if you are someone who likes IPA types or heavy beers.

I've always liked Yeungling, it's a good amber. Like alot of people, I'm too far away to get it so I always bring a couple of cases back to WI when I go home to PA along with several cases of Straub...that's good beer!

Wish there was an easy way to ship beer. I'd trade you Yuengling for New Glarus.

It just started coming here not long ago. I tried one on draft and really liked it. Bought a case of bottles, meh, went back to my bud light. But, if we're someplace that has Yeungling on draft, that's what I'll order.

I agree with the majority here. It’s a really good beer to drink when your on a business trip in the area. Buy a 12pk during the trip and you get tired of it before you finish them all. Better on draft than in the bottle.
