So I'm in Houston this week on business, and need some recommendations on things to do, mainly God places to eat. Ready, set, go!

Check out Perry’s, I think it’s on I10 in Katy. Expensive, but damn good pork chops. Other than that I have no idea... look up Houston Tundras if you’re on FB, great group that will be more than willing to give suggestions

I heard the night life in Houston, San Antonio, and a few others is pretty good.

    Perry’s? Taste of Texas? Brennan’s? They’re decent.
Pappas Bros. Steakhouse makes them look like Jack in the Box.

Have you had a Perry’s 3 finger pork chop? I’d kick a baby seal square in the face for one right now lol

I have. It is excellent. Don’t get me wrong. Their crab cakes are the best I’ve had also.

But the steak? Nothing I’ve ever had comes close to Pappas. It’s like there’s a party in my mouth, and everyone is invited.

Sounds like I need some Pappas in my life!

I recommend it to everyone. Be prepared to drop a couple hundred bucks on dinner for two though. It’s a special occasion thing for us.
The only complaint is that it’s a little stuffy there. Service is insane, but it’s not a laid back atmosphere. My wife used the wrong fork for her salad, so they took it all away and replaced it the first time we went. They also took her napkin away another time. The white one didn’t match her dress, so they brought her a black one. Some of that stuff seems pretty overkill to me.

If on the south side the Johnson Space Center is in Clear Lake and lots of good seafood closer to the Bay at the Kemah Boardwalk. Several Landry's restaurants down there. There is a Perry's in the area too.

Tex-Mex: Lupe Tortillas really good, Pappa's good as well. Can't beat Taste of Texas for steaks.
