Recently I had to jump my truck due to the battery being dead, I used a battery charger box and let the battery charge while I was at work. I went to start the truck at the end of the day and when I did, I lost pretty much all sound out of the driver side speakers to my truck. The passenger side speakers work fine, but when I hit the gas, the humming sound gets louder. I am currently in a 2006 Toyota Tundra Double Cab with the JBL sound system. If anyone has any help that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance

Could a ground wire have moved during this process?

Everything as far as ground wires hasn't changes, i traced almost every ground wire that i could possibly trace and nothing, plus the passenger speakers and everything else electronically works like it is supposed to. If it were a ground issue, the passenger side would also be affected.

Do you get the whine when the stereo is both powered on and off?

Does it happen with each source? Broadcast radio? CD? MP3? Bluetooth? Etc.?

Does it happen if you remove the driver's side speaker and connect it to the passenger side output?

Does it happen for the front and rear speakers?

Have you had the alternator checked to see if there may now be a bad diode in the rectifier (which is probably internal and mean a new alternator)?

It happens when the key is turned to both aux, and the truck is running, it is the drivers side front and rear speakers as well as the tweeter for the drivers side door, I am switching the wires around after work today, it happens throughout every source, Bluetooth, cd, am/fm, and aux. and the alternator is fine no problems with the alternator. I am going to also switch the radio head back to the factory unit to ensure that it isn't an issue with the jbl amp.

Sounds like you've eliminated the alternator. It appears that you're on the correct path and have it narrowed down to either the head unit or the amplifier, and obviously the left channel of one of those components.

I was hoping there was an easier way of doing it, but i didn't know if there was an easier way of determining if it was the interface adapter for the jbl system or not. The only way of checking that, that i know of, is to put the factory deck back in which is a process i was trying to avoid

Ya, always begin with the easy things and you have. Now it's time to move to the next level.

So it only happens when the truck is running? Doesn't that make u suspect alternator?
