buy from Toyota especially if u don't want to do too much research which is not needed in this case.... at least you get a good quality. I bought one from an auto part for another car and it felt and looked cheap and had a funny smell.

I change the cabin air filter maybe once every 3 or 4 years and only if I remember :) unless I am on dirt roads a lot. As a result, I don't spend too much time researching it so I get it at Toyota dealership when I am buying oil filters ... I bought wiper blades from auto parts (almost same price as dealer) and they made noise and wouldn't fully stay on at higher speed and had to go back to dealer.

Gas and tire and oil are obviously not Toyota specialty, but if you like to know:
    • I buy gas at Chevron
    • Buy tires (Michelin on all my cars) and oil and batteries at Costco.

The K&N cabin filter has a cleaning kit for around $12.

I bought my truck at 65k miles and it has almost 90k. I have never done this, who know if it ever has  guess this is getting done this weekend. Maybe it'll help kill the smell from my dog and gym bag

    I know :)
granted Costco doesn't sell 0W-20 they sell mobil1 5W-20 ... I am still under 2 years free oil change but when that is over, I may have to buy the oil from Toyota ;) J/K maybe by then Costco will bring in 0W-20 or I have to stop by Walmart.

I don’t have a K&N, but a little tip. Try turning off your AC and just letting the fan blow a few minutes before you park your truck. Helps dry the vent passageways out to help prevent mildew.

Being a smoker, 1 on the way to work in the morning and 2 on the way home, I got this and cut a 1-2" piece and put it on top of the filter about once a month. It seems to keep the odor down. It can be a little overpowering for the first day or so.
