Just received my painted Air Designs fender flares. The fit and paint match is perfect. The bolts actually have a function. Adhesive backed rubber fixes to the fender allowing the bolts to actually hold the flare to the fender. So no vibration or rubbing. Also added 295/70-18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers.

Yes and no. Hard to explain so I cut and pasted the manufacturers description:

Correct. No holes drilled. Just some adhesive rubber pads with a threaded post. The bolts thread into these posts. Technically it would be reversible.

Great looking truck! I’m liking the unique look of these flares. I’m very impressed with the quality. I watched a YouTube video behind the scenes at the AIR Designs plant in Mexico City. Incredibly impressed. I had them paint them too. Perfect.

Look at how the crease on the corner of the flare aligns with the factory crease on the fender.

Do they replace the rear mud flap though?

There’s no substitute for actual mud flaps. You have to remove the oem mud flaps. But they do an integrated mud flap design built into the rear fender flares.

Actually they replace both front and rear mud flaps with integrated mud flaps in the flare.
