honestly I like to wash it myself. I'd rather use better products than the car wash.

Cost me about 2 beers to do it myself. I still haven't found a place that I trust to wash it for me.

The place near my house is $25 for a full size truck. That’s the “works” wash.

I like to do it myself, but sometimes I’m lazy or don’t feel like freezing my butt off in the winter.

    See fine print
Bay Area cost higher than most other cities. Keep that in mind. When I see those guys use use the same rag to wipe the wheels, rockers than the fenders hood! Makes me cringe! When the truck is really dirty I will go through a touch less wash then just use a detailer at home. Or use a waterless wash at home if it’s not too dirty.

$25.00 for a car wash, are you kidding me? Is it done twice a year? Does it never snow? What happens when the day after, and it rains, do you shell out more money for another $25 scrub.

    Wash my own by hand.

I take it to get it washed 3-4 times a year. There was a ban on washing cars during the drought. The ban was lifted lastt year. Im planning to invest in equipment to wash it myself.

When your truck is covered in road salt and the high temperature is 20*, options are limited.

I usually hand wash, but there's a nice automated one I use on occasion.

Price is $15, I get a 25% discount through employer, and it also gives you 20c/gal off gas (with my old truck it would save about $4 on a fillup), so it nets at around $7.25

When it's cold(when isn't it cold in northern Wisconsin?) I get a dollar off the touch-less wash bay at Fleet Farm when I fill with fuel, so it costs me six bucks. It douches most of the underside, and keeps the outside slime under control. I'll hop out with an old towel and swab the door jambs so the doors don't freeze.
Otherwise I do it myself with all the goodies @SouthBoundSteve has helped me spend mah monie on . I don't know how much that has cost me!:D

Local hand wash place here is $50, but it’s a complete detail inside and out. Worth every penny, truck ends up looking good, I can sit in the a/c or pool and drink beer when I get home.

I'm contemplating getting a pressure washer. :) It should make washing cars a little more fun.

During the warm months, I wash it myself at home. Usually twice per winter on the rare days the temp climbs up towards zero Celsius, I'll run it through the touchless car wash to get the road grime and dirt off. Costs a little over $20 iirc.
