You just need m+s to pass chain control. Almost every tire other than slicks nowadays are m+s. I wouldn’t get severe snow rating unless I lived in Alma, CO. It’s always a trade off, the better it does on snow, the worse it’ll do on pavement in the summer. We just don’t drive enough on snow to make it worth it. That’s like putting slicks on your DD because you go to the track once a year.

This thread may come to rest. I have decided and went with Toyo ATII’s. So far I like them. Will see how these work out.

thinking of getting the same @BlueBottle .
my 33"s RT are nice but I need something better for the snow and not as wide. 295/70/18 size seems to be a good compromise.
the RT are M+S but the KO2 on my wife's SUV are awesome in the snow and have the snowflake.

    I want more sidewall too.

are the ATII Xtreme snowflake rated ?

No snowflake. I wanted a snowflake tire but that really limits your choices. The Nitto exo grappler is snowflake rated.

Seems like there are lots more choices on a 35x12.5. Looking at how the 295 fits I think I could have fit the 35’s. Maybe you should just go 35’s. KO2’s

Looks great man. I'm actually thinking these are the tires I to will end up getting here soon. What made you switch from your old setup??

    My ADD kicked in...
... I’ve always wanted the ray10’s but it was never available for tundras. Since they released it I had to get it. I wouldn’t have switched If the ray10’s never came out. Then I wanted a taller tire so I went w a 295/70... yup I have issues.

Your safer with a 35x12.5 most likely. Even though she said bigger is better... the 35 is actually 34.5” so it would be easier to fit. Unless your ok with all the cutting?

What kind of lift do you have? Any rubbing?

And I hate that those wheels exist they are sexy and make me want to throw money at them so I can watch them dance.

I’m on coilovers but roughly 3/1.5 lift. Had to remove front and rear mud flaps. Trim the front plastic and move it forward. But no rub. Had to do that for the 305/65 also depends on your wheel offset. What do you have?

The wheels, tires and lift are last but I think I have settled on:
    - the Toytec BOSS kit
    - the ray10’s
    - figuring out tires. I really like the Falken. I want to go as big as possible but don’t want to worry about rubbing at all. My girl is a pavement princess 90% of the time.

Should all be in by April. Waiting on my bumper from SSO and will slap it all on at one time.

You will net about same lift as me with that setup. You can easily fit 295/70 with the trimming i stated. You can probably fit 35x12.5 but I can’t guarantee no rubbing lol. I think a few people have fit them without issues.

Mike, the TOYO A/TII are really good tires. They handle as well on snow/ice as any M/S on the market

Yeah I’m pretty happy with the outcome besides the fact that I just replaced perfectly fine tires lol. The little extra height of the new tire fits much better though. I do notice a slight hum compared to the falkens but it’s not bad. Only when the radio is off. Also I noticed the ride is a tiny bit harsher running the same ire pressure on the falkens. I’m lowering the pressure to find a good ride and wear.

Since there are not a lot of photos of a TRD PRO with the Toyo Open Country AT2 Extremes (295/70R18), I decided to post a few. I just had to remove the front mud flap, clearance everywhere else is fine.

    Stock TRD Pro suspension?

Did you have to put spacers on to clear the 295s on the stock wheels?

Stock PRO suspension in front, have a 1" lift in the back but it's not required for these tires. No spacers used on the stock wheels.

Soon to be 3 in 1 leveling kit
I'm considering purchasing 295-70-18 ridge grapplers for my 2014 tundra. I had put a 2" leveling kit since I purchased the truck, but now bought the 3 in 1 leveling kit to get the height for that size of tire. My question is...If i were to leave my 18" TRD wheels with the factory +60 offset, will the tires still fit and have no rubbing? Thanks in advance.
