Yes ! I just installed mine last week end. It mounts over the first 3 cross members (including the radiator one). I felt it tighten the front end a bit which is good or maybe it's just me...lol

We will be switching over to a one piece front skid plate design as of this week, which is largely for shipping purposes, but also to simplify installation (Three less bolts to worry about). It will not in any way change the function of the skid plate, nor will it change anything aesthetically.

Cool. I just placed an order, will it be the new design? Just curious, it doesn't make a difference to me lol.

IIRC.. the frame is the same between the DC and CM.. my CBI sliders were originally made for DC and they bolt up to my CM perfectly.

As much as I agree to your statement on the frame, i also disagree on the universalism component. Some manufacturers are universal though some are not. It has to do with bolting patterns and length of the slider. Some rub the bed and some rear bolts don't fit due to gas tank obstructiom

RCI says their steps are only for the CM and their side steps don't bolt to the frame anyway so there's that. ;)

Probably why they call them "side steps" and not "sliders".

They are, but the rear holes don't line up as you would think. I know this from experience installing my sliders on my DC. They had to send modification pieces to make it work.

Im just trying to save others a little frustration

Folks with the RCI step/sliders. These bolt to the cab or the frame?

Kudos to RCI too. I called them realizing I made a mistake. All over their site the mention the Steps are for crewmax trucks only. I've got a double cab. When I called them they said... Oh, we can make those let's update your order :)

Anyone have a copy of the instructions for installing the Fuel tank Skid?
My factory skid appears to have 6 rivets on each side at the front holding it on.

@RCIoffroad - I placed an order through @Toytec Lifts for one of your Black Powder Coated Skid Plates on 8/18/2018. Can either of you tell me where this is at in production or shipping? I ordered this for pickup at ToyTec. I was expecting 2-3 weeks, but it's been longer than that. Thanks.
