I'm looking to buy a CrewMax but most in my price range have between 115-150k on them. Should I be worried about buying a truck with that kind of mileage?

Just check that it hasn't been abused, has been maintained and that kind of mileage is not a concern.

Pffffft... It's a Toyota, that's basically brand new :burnrubber:

In all seriousness, as long as it's been maintained and no accidents you should be good to go

Definitely not "high mileage" in the traditional sense as with Ford,Chevy, Dodge trucks. Are there service records? There is also an official Toyota owners website where you can check for service history or add your own, recalls and if they were addressed, service/parts discounts, etc. Surprised this site isn't mentioned here more often....https://www.toyota.com/owners/

We have folks here that have put over 200K miles on their Tundras. Well over. Price, service records and one owner are the key!

Welcome, I recently traded my 2008 CrewMax that had 235,000 on it. Nothing was wrong, Toyota service person even commented on that fact. I just had the new truck itch.

    I’d say go for it.

I just traded my 2012 trd crewmax in with 130k miles for a 2018 model. The 2008 was just as responsive and tight but did have minor nicks & dings on the body. FYI the dealer gave me $18,500 as trade in value. Hope this helps..

I just bought a 2010 5.7 Crewmax SR5 in October with 161k that looks and runs almost like new from the Toyota dealer that serviced it for the original owner the entire time.

Except the 13 50/50 mpg I'm getting it is perfect.

Mines got 455000 km (yes kilometres, that equals around 283000 miles) and it runs strong as ever. That being said this is what has been done to it for major work:
    Replaced transfer case around 360km
    Replaced radiator around 300km
Just had to replace the starter at 455km

I live in a harsh climate so radiator and starter can catch a bit of a break.

Totally agree. I looked for a Tundra for over a year and probably checked 20-25 through that site. It shows waaaay more than a car fax.

Air injection pump! After 150k it’s 3k fix or 300 for a bypass. I have 185k on my 07 that had zero records and came from Canada. I paid too much but after replacing the wear parts it’s good to go.

After an extended test drive and inspecting the truck as best I could, I purchased my '07 with 270,000 miles on it. The miles and a total lack of service records didn't bother me because it was well within my price range, so I had a pretty clear picture of what I was getting myself into. I had every shop including the dealer that I took it to for service perform their own inspections, they confirmed what I already knew so there were no surprises.

I've owned the truck 7 months, and I've driven it on two out of state road trips without experiencing a single issue. I recommend that you get a thorough inspection or two by people that know these truck, do this so you can make an informed decision... good luck.

I am a new member and welcome to the club! I have a 2000 tundra limited 4x4 (first gen) with 376,000 miles and a 2013 crewmax sr5 4x4 ( second gen) with 77,000 miles. The 2000 model I bought new and the 2013 I bought used 4 months ago. If it has been serviced correctly and looks to be taken care of then you should be o.k. If you are buying it from a dealer get a warranty if you can for piece of mind.I would drive my 2000 model to California and not be worried! Whenever someone comes up with a better truck than a Toyota then I will switch, until then it's Toyota all the way!!!

My 2010 4.6 L V 8 Tundra Crewcab with 183K...I just have no complaints other than brake longevity. Anyways, the brake longevity inspires me to brake less often, LOL.

I did have to do a Toyota service only transmission bc my tranny was skipping in 2nd occas after an accident, that was 3 years ago and no probs since.

My truck, i bought it with 1 accident wo airbags deployed at 15 K.

I hit a tree stump in a driveway with my R rear tire which caused a good amount of damage, even at 5 MPH. (it was hidden stump).

so my truck now at 183K...tires and brakes.

oh, I have a belt squealing on cold mornings, my next work on my truck.

I also change the oil on a maintenance schedule. I learned that lesson 1x.
