Is there any actual mpg gains in economy mode? I like the idea of BD better than dap being they have multiple tunes and a nice interface readout I could live without the power gains so long as I get the shift points, governor delete and a little mpg gain from the granny mode lol dap claims to get 2-4 mpg but I figure it probably a gimmick.

Shrek never claimed that his tune increases MPG. he only says that some people have reported a MPG increase. even if there is an increase, there is no way it would be 2-4 MPG. I have read a ton of reviews and some people claim a 0.5-1.0 MPG increase.

So where would a good start be to try to find real data on bully dog tuners? Any other forums out there?

Getting my DAP tune next week. Since it is local for me, it was a no brainer to go with DAP over BD. I can't wait and will update after I get the tune.

Got my DAP tune today. Dustin met me here locally to do the tune. So far here is what I have noticed:
From start - Much better smooth throttle response being smooth and not jerky like can be in tow/ haul mode. Take off is smooth but way more responsive than stock. 60-70mph passing is much better with quick down shift with only medium throttle increase. Drivability is much better right off the bat, and supposed to “learn and get better over the next fewhundred miles”. I love it so far and can tell the extra power pulling through the gears. Not sure about mpg, but don’treally care or expect imcrease. Overall drivability is well worth it. I’ll update as I tend to get a little more aggressive with it after learning period. Thank you,Dustin. Www.daptuning.com. Bestperformance upgrade for your $ in myopinion.

Next will be the dirtydeeds 8” cat back. Gotta save up first

Is there a tune for flex fuel tundras with super charger from DAP yet? Or anyone besides BD? I have the BD that came with the sc kit but I feel the tune I have is a lacking can tune. When I go WOT from a stop or 5-10 mpg I have a lag, worse than turbo lag. Maybe it’s the nannies but it sucks. I’m hoping a better tune will get rid of this. Anyone else have this issue?

I emailed DAP about a month ago. I was told they don’t have one for the flex fuel SC’d Tundra yet.

i sort of do. the shifting and everything is all over the place with the FFV SC bullydog tune. When i accelerate harder from a slow start it jumps gears and tries to go then finally goes. I am still experiencing a pinging issue with 91 octane (3rd tank). Bullydog reached out to me and asked for my address. They will see where i can take my truck so Bullydog can help tune or fix my issue.

Did you ever resolve the problem? Is your SC TRD or Magnuson?

I'm about to order the magnuson for my 2017 FFV. Has anyone had problems with the FFV? Would I be ok to install the supercharger and use the Bully Dog going easy on the truck until the DAP Tune becomes available? Does anyone regret getting the supercharger? It's a lot of money to spend on a mod, hoping it won't cause issues with a brand new truck. Thanks!

The Bullydog magnusson flex set up is about 98% in most cases.

I’ve sold at least 20 set ups and seen one truck with issues bad enough to require a tweak by Bullydog.

    What does this mean?

Why won’t you post something here? Seems a bit shifty if you’re not willing to put something in print for all to see.

I’ve been in this business for 15 years. This is how I support my family. I don’t do anything shifty.

There’s a professionalism about keeping positive and not putting anyone down. Certain people may read things the wrong way. But over the phone you can hear tone of voice etc. And I can make sure that anything I say is ‘heard’ in context.

As I’ve said all these years, all that I care is my Tundra brothers get the very best bang for their buck. And since not a lot of people do the things that I do to tundras, it’s my job to help assure it gets done correctly

I will vouch for Keith. Straight up dude. He is a small business owner and one of the few that actually answers his phone if you’ve got any questions. If he doesn’t, he will get back to you. I bug him all the time with my ridiculous questions. He’s probably annoyed with me but he still answers my questions and shows respect. Which is why he will continue to get my business whenever I need something that he offers. I would even pay more to him than someone else just knowing that he backs it up.

I second this. Dealt with Keith on 2 separate occasions and both were nothing but pleasant. Took 45 minutes out of his day to run through multiple situations for both the bullydog tuner and the exhaust system, with the best options for going with headers or without.

I didn’t have an FFV. MY SC (TRD) needed a re-build around 10k. Toyota refused to warranty it after initially agreeing to warranty it.
