Event at a park the Tacoma folks are throwing together. They're trying to get the 4Runner and Tundra guys in on it as well...

I do love the thread title changing. Anybody close to Cerritos, maybe go?

And love the pets! We have 2 new heathens:

    Diana IMG_1939.jpg

    Isis IMG_1941.jpg

Named after the superheroes, not the terrorists. However, we might have called that wrong: they are, in fact, terrorists. We've already had to replace our front window blind. So far, they've been very expensive.

Hello all! Haven't been on lately, busy dealing with old house issues.
I'm pretty close to Cerritos. My street eventually turns into Bloomfield. Maybe I'll try n check it out. Hmmm which Toyota to take...

I've got family in Cerritos and Lakewood, but that's still an hour ride. Intriguing though :drevil: looks like it's going to be a good time.

Lol at real life. Normally getting on here during the day at work isn’t an issue.... but this week our instructor was super motivated to get some work done.

    What up fellas
One thing I learned from our meet that I need is a tank or set up for airing back up afterwards. If you guys don't mind, could you share info, pics of what your using? Can you include links and advice? I want something that works fast and would last several trips. Something that could air me back up and others if they needed it. I owe Mike some air lol

I tried pulling up a link to where I bought my CO2 system, but the website is of course down for maintenance. haha. It can be found here when the website is back up -
    http://www.instantairsupply.com/
I have a 10lb tank and I get a few trips out of it before having to re-fill it. That's the biggest down side, it's limited supply and there isn't a gauge to tell how much is in there. You could weigh it and all that jazz but I'm lazy haha. Big advantage is how fast it works. You can fill up all your tires in a couple minutes. I think it's about 30 seconds a tire.

If you want an air compressor it takes longer but it's "unlimited". A really great choice would be Viair.
This model would be perfect - it'll fill up to a 35" tire and is decently quick.
    https://www.amazon.com/VIAIR-40043-...F8&qid=1516645196&sr=8-1&keywords=viair+40043

This model is much less expensive, fills up to a 33" tire, it will fill larger tires but it's slow and needs to cool down between tires so it's a longer process.
    https://www.amazon.com/Viair-00088-...F8&qid=1516645286&sr=1-1&keywords=viair+00088

Both of these compressors use clamps to take power from your battery to run.

This is some good stuff I appreciate the info bud.

Thanks for the review. How long would you say it takes to fill each tire. Using the tank we were aired up and gone pretty quickly.

The Viair 400p is a little faster, but the 450p has a 100% duty cycle. If you think you may ever have to fill 2-3 trucks at a time, you might look into the 450p.

its definitely not as quick as a CO2 tank, but i think i went from around 20ish to low 40s in around 3-4 minutes or so per tire...

I'm not looking to fill a bunch of trucks at one time, but when we met up, everyone was willing to help each other out and if someone needed air I would like to be able to make sure its an option for others who need it.

Joon what kinda set up are you running?

I use a Co2 tank I got free from a buddy who was tired of waiting around for me to air up at the end of a run. I got a fixed regulator and hose from Wheelers for around $85. Swap tanks at Airgas for about $25-30. IMG_0956.jpg

How big is your tank Paul? How often do you have to refill?

I believe it's a 10# tank. I've only exchanged it a couple times in the 4 years since I converted. Probably aired up about 50 tires. A lot depends on how big a tire and how much you air down. I air down to 10-12psi and then back up to 30psi. Some ppl cover a broader gap = more gas used.

Wow you get a lot of fills out of your tank!
I know IAS advertises their 10# tank as able to fill "4 35" tires 20 times" from idk 15-35psi or something like that.

I think the fill method matters a lot as well.
I got my tank new, added stickers and all that jazz so I don't want to exchange it.

If I go to beverage factory they fill it on the spot but it's a "hot fill" and only ends up with about 5-6# of co2
If I took it in for a cold fill it's a 72 hour turn around but it'll be all the way full.
