Barcelona Red Metallic ... my absolute favorite Toyota color! You don't see many on the road so they always catch my eye when I spot one.

    As it sits today:

I had a '13 DCSB TRD Sport 4x4 Taco in this color and it's always been my favorite.

I really enjoyed my '16 Limited TRD OR Crewmax 4x4 Midnight Black Metallic Tundra, but when I saw my '18 sitting out front in the sunlight, it was a done deal! I had been contemplating an '18 for a while and seeing this truck in-person pushed me over the edge. I haggled with the dealer (and several others) over email for a week and finally got them down to my number on new year's eve and picked it up the following week. Weiss Toyota in St. Louis was great to work with. I was at the dealership less than an hour physically trading trucks and completing the paperwork. Quickest transaction I've ever had.

First addition was the Tundra OEM bed mat (it actually came with the truck).

Second addition was the OEM Bed Cover (transferred from my '16).

Fortunately the bed rails are still functional.

    Also installed the drain tubes.

Next addition was the OEM bed net. I always like to keep one in the back to keep the small things tied up.

Next addition was the WeatherTech FloorLiners in the front and back (transferred from my '16).

Next additions were the Salex OCD Console Tray and Organizer (transferred from my '16).

Added the TRD rear sway bar. Definitely improved the handling. Can't wait to see if it makes a difference towing the camper this spring.

Added color matched door handles and mirror caps. #nochrome

Added the driver side grab handle. Makes getting in and out soooo much easier.

I was surprised there were so many differences and updates to the dash and electronics from my '16 to the '18. Like everyone else, I'm also digging the new headlights. They are a great upgrade from the halogens. Having said that, my favorite upgrade to the Platinum is the seats. They are a LOT more comfortable than the seats in my '16 Limited were ... like light years ahead. It's too bad all Tundras don't come with this seat structure up front.

    Added BFG KO2s in LT275/60/20.

    Future plans for the truck:
    - Possibly a small lift. Still not sure I want to lift it, the truck rides so darn smooth!
    - Undercover swing case(s)
    - Linex the bed

The truck is a third vehicle for us, so basically my weekend driver and tow pig for our camper. Other than that, all I plan to do is enjoy the truck.

Thanks! The chrome handles and caps are my only complaint about the truck, but an easy fix.

My dad just got one before Christmas in the same color. I’m super jealous because that’s my all time favorite color.

Awesome truck. I love this color. Don’t care what the MGM or White owners say about best color, ours is clearly the right choice.

Added color matched door handles and mirror caps from Sparks Parts. They were pricey but worth it to me. #nochrome

Also added the TRD Sway bar from Cool Springs Toyota. Appears to be money well spent. This is another item that should be on the truck when it leaves the factory, especially at this price point.

Thanks! No idea on the wheels. I'm still debating whether I want to lift it and add wheels and tires, or just add larger tires without a lift, or just drive it like it is. I'm in the market for an older truck to play with ... if I get one I probably won't lift this one since I'll be dumping money in the toy. Who knows at this point.

Mine too. I looked for a Platinum for a couple of months in this color within a 250-mile radius and couldn't find one. I stumbled on this one by accident about 30 minutes from my house ... just happen to drive by the dealership on a Sunday afternoon and saw it sitting out front. Not sure how long they had it but it didn't show up in their inventory or cars.com or any other site. My guess is they had it listed as the wrong color or trim level online. They had a new TRD Sport the same color sitting beside it that also looked pretty sweet.

Took a 380-mile trip on Friday with approx 90% on the interstate at 71 mph. This tank also included a half dozen trips in town that likely covered 40 miles or so in stop-and-go traffic. Anyway, I was shocked at the mpg's I got ... 18.3 mpg on the way down and 19.8 mpg on the way home. As you can see in the bottom pic, the 19.8 mpg covered a non-stop trip of 162 miles. I've been impressed with the mpg's this truck has gotten since I bought it but never thought I would touch 19 mpg, and I'll be surprised if I ever hit it again.

Added BFG KO2s in LT275 60 20 Load Range D. The D's seem to be a nice compromise between P-rated and E-rated ... firmer, but not too firm. Wished the truck came from the factory with this tire (or a comparable tire) and size. So far I haven't noticed any rubbing.

Quick camping trip a few weeks ago. The truck obviously pulls it with no issues but the rear end is squatting more than I like. I never noticed it squatting this much with my '16 Limited TRD OR. Guess a small difference in suspensions can make a difference. I didn't need a WDH on the '16 but will likely have to add it or air bags to this one. Hitch weight is roughly 300 pounds.

    Awesome looking truck!

Nice trailer!! I used to have the same trailer, but mine was the baja edition! But same floor plan.
