I recently installed this tire on my Tundra and would like to hear from other people that have also installed the tires, how they are performing, especially in muddy and icy conditions.4111DE65-37C9-459B-B142-D6BAAECF08D1.jpg

I had these put on my wife's 07 Explorer about 2 years ago (ish), she has about 17k - 20k on them. They still look new, hardly any wear and balanced well. They have performed really well on snow and ice. I can't answer the mud part, though they have done well on dirt roads, they don't pick up that many rocks. I hope this helps. I would buy them again.

I have about 7K on my (275-60-r20) ATP's. They are wearing nicely and the ride is firm but not harsh. Icy conditions this past week have not been a problem. I would recommend them as they are essentially a Cooper A/T3. Built exclusively for Discount Tire.

My son has these on his taco and likes them a lot. He mainly is in the rock or sand. I’m headed to Oregon and hopefully my choice pans out, expecting to be in mud as much as anything.

If mud is main concern I would go with ST Maxx. Tires are a compromise. An aggressive tread will perform better in mud and rocks but not as good in ice, snow, & sand. You have to weigh your driving conditions. While you would prefer not to get stuck on a muddy road that is probably better than sliding around on a public road on ice and snow. I ran ST Maxxs on my Tacoma but never got to test in winter conditions. I liked them enough that when the BFGs I have wear out that is what I will get.

Unfortunately I already have committed, these are bought and paid for, I will live with the consequences.
What I am asking, is for other Tundra bro’s that have these, to let me know how they perform so I know what to expect.

I can vouch for Cooper quality.

I have them on my 2012 4Runner. I have about 18k miles on them and have only minor complaints.
    Pros:
-They wear VERY well. Even after 18k there is still plenty of tread depth on them. At the current wear-rate, I have no doubt I'll get 50K miles from them.
-They handle and grip very well in the snow.
-They handle and grip very well in the rain.
-My mother lives at the end of 1/2 mile gravel/dirt driveway. They do a good job of not picking up or holding gravel.
-Exceptional value for the money (I got them during a Discount Tire sale and recv'd a $100 rebate).
-They've held balance very well. I rotate religiously at every oil change (7500 miles).

    Cons:
-Although they were very quiet for the first 7-8k miles, they soon began to roar a bit. It's not so bad when cold, but it can be annoying when warm

Despite the roar, I would certainly buy them again. They're still not as loud as the Cooper ST's that I have on my Tundra.

Looks like most have had similar experiences. I really liked the tire, thought it rode fairly smooth and noise was minimal. I wasn't a huge fan of their grip in the snow for what I expected from the tread pattern, actually think the stock michelins handle better....as far as wet roads I felt like they slipped more often than I would have liked mainly on take off....obviously with the big gaps in tread it is a give/take relationship in terms of grip on wet surfaces compared to snow/mud. For the aggressiveness and look, and especially the price they are a GREAT tire and I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
