Are all 3rd gen interiors black?

New to this forum but not new to Toyotas. I'm looking at used 3rd gen Tundras and the salesman at my local dealer tells me that all of the interiors are black except for the 1796 edition. Is this true? I know the seats come in a few different colors, but I'm talking door panels, dash, trim etc. I really like these trucks but with yellow labs the black as night interior will be a pain in the ass to keep looking nice.

So are they all black or is there a gray or other color available?

 

My '18 Crewmax has the graphite interior with black carpet.

Other colors are listed as available.. but my dealer only had black.. I think I saw some double-cabs that had grey.. but there were no CrewMax models on display with anything other than black. I am not a fan of an all black interior.. When I put in some aftermarket floor mats, I went grey to try to lighten things up.

 

I test drove a white limited 2017 last year when I bought mine and it had the gray interior.

Any pics showing how much it lightened up?

 

It is possible to get grey interior (seats/armrest) but, the floor carpet is all black

 

My 2018 Limited CM has grey leather seats (actually two tone grey), grey console lid, grey inserts on the dash and door panels. To me the gey accents and seats go good with the remainder of the interior which is black.

 

Black goes with everything. If it goes with everything, then they only need to make one of it. If they only make one thing of one color, they cut down on costs. When they cut down costs, they make more profit and share holders are happier.

I bought my 2017 SR5 only because it had the all black cloth seats, all the other white Tundras on the lot had gray! Less dirt shows up and the black just goes brilliantly with white exterior!

No black is not the only color, but certainly very common. The real outlier seems to be the beige. I don't put much stock in what most salespeople say.

Yeah I get why they would do it.. It's just not something I like.. I had a Scion TC that was all black inside.. That fact coupled with the small windows made it so dark inside.. I literally would back the car into the driveway and open the doors if I needed to see well inside.. You couldn't see ANYTHING inside that car unless you had a spotlight or something.. heheee..

 

Here ya go. It should be mentioned that the front footwell might seem a little exaggerated because I added footwell led's, but the back cargo area is un modified.

Footwell lights and inside LEDs help lighten it up greatly.

 

As other have said, no not the only color. Now you just need to go to the sales manager and tell him you need a discount since you had to put up with his salesman lying to you.

 

mine has graphite seats but carpet and most plastic is black.

Sonuvva.... that looks so good. I hate black interior. When I bought my truck i was told and looked at Toyota website and thought only black and tan were available. Black interior is depressing. Damn I wish I had gray.

The look of mscroggi weather tech mats means I will ditch my black huskies for those.

 

The interior color selection is a little more flexible on the 2018 model.. but there is still a few combinations where only one interior color is available.

 

You can have any color, as long as it's black...

 

I plan on eventually putting on some seatcovers. I have already picked out what is essentially the same gray as the floormats.. (just saving up for them right now) Hopefully that will do it for me.

On a serious note when I was looking for my Tundra I knew I didn't want the black seats, my first choice was actually tan which in my opinion goes really good with the black exterior. Couldn't find one so I took the gray, I really like it now because in 2018 they went two-tone gray.
