It is one hell of a performer. Also that was a good starting price for the car back when he purchased it. He has more than double that in to the car. All of the original parts are cataloged and stored in boxes in a climate controlled environment. His car has around 12,000 original miles on it. He drives it during the summers but limits the miles he puts on the car. It is a stunner.

A shot of Dan with Motohiro Matsumura when he was all over the car at NTCNA. This was prior to a bunch of NISMO mods.

Any pre-1981 SY platform Rolls-Royce or Bentley, preferably North American spec...

Or a 1975-1986 Rolls-Roycr Camargue! Less than 540 made worldwide during the 11-year production run...

However, I would take a Euro-spec model if the right one came along. After all, all vehicles 25 years or older can be legally imported into the states, and in my home state of Pennsylvania vehicles registered as antiques are exempt from emissions testing and safety inspections!

I am on my iPhone right now and don't have access to some of my Rolls-Royce pics. For now, just Google "Rolls-Royce Camargue" and "1979 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith II" to see pics of the automobiles I desire!

That is definitely high praise, especially considering the Z Tune cars they made a while back. You just know those are sitting in some garages never to see the street....

Good numbers for just using some Nismo parts too. I'd have tore into that RB. :D

i knew a guy once that had one of those. decent shape but the kicker was that he almost always had an 19' ocean kayak strapped to the roof. looked totally bonkers and was always good for a chuckle.

My taste may be impeccable, but if I ever obtain an SY Rolls, still gonna be driving around with the windows down on a nice day, blasting "Once Bitten Twice Shy" by Great White on the factory Pioneer tape deck...

And with a spare jar of Grey Poupon in the front cupholder!

No smoking, no dub step music, and wear your seatbelt!

I love Meat Loaf, but I changed it to my specific favorite song...

Normally I have a "listen to whatever you want" policy, but I let a stoner friend of mine play dub step in my Tacoma when I drove him home this one time, and it seemed like that music was gonna blow my speakers! I installed a Pioneer component system in my truck in 2013, and the system was about two years old when I let my friend play dub step...

This is a 1980 Silver Wraith II, but a guy I know had a 1979 that was pretty much identical...

The exterior color is Mason's Black, and the interior is beige, but I forget the name of the color...

    [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Note the tape deck; Pioneer was factory spec on these cars!

    @smslavin

And now for a lesson on the Camargue...

This one is a 1976, which is the second year of production...

This is a 1986, which was the last year of production. Aside from the fact that the '76 is an American-spec, and the '86 is a Canadian-spec (speedometer in kilometers), these cars look identical to the untrained eye, despite the '86 being a full decade newer...

To the untrained eye, they are identical...

However, a true Rolls-Royce enthusiast can tell the difference...

First let's look at the '76 again...

Pay close attention to the front quarterlights (vent windows)!

    And now, here's the 86...

The pillar of the quarterlight is slanted further frontward on the '76 model, whereas it is more straight on the '86!

Another way of telling newer Camargues (roughly 1979-1986) from older ones (1975-1978ish) is the lip above the rear bumper. The problem is that I don't remember which is which...LOL. I believe the older ones had a wider gap above the rear bumper while newer ones had the lip...

Those aren't real Rolls-Royces! Those are just BMWs in drag! The engine and all of the mechanicals are BMW! The interior is also nowhere near as high-quality as the pre-2002 models!
