While they are great for removing dirt and grime off of body panels, I would avoid using a high pressure system if you're looking to remove salt from the undercarriage. We were looking at installing a truck wash at our public works facility for their fleet and the fire apparatus and in our research we found that a lot of towns are experiencing worse problems as the high pressure systems can drive the salt further into cracks and in between components that you will not be ale to get back out. it seemed that all of the industry is moving towards a low pressure deluge style system. So I would second just parking the truck over a sprinkler and moving it around.

it's simple......avoid kryptonite, or get Batman to put them in lead boxes, of which you'll throw in the heart of the sun.

My truck has been salty for over a week now. Between it being very cold and me just getting a cold, it's going to stay salty for a bit. Such a bummer!

Well I tried to get it at the location you suggested. They don’t do the salt away on undercarriages. Closest one that does it is Little Rock LOL

Ended up spraying the undercarriage down at the self car wash closest to me and brought it home to hand wash the body. Then brought my wife’s car and washed it.

Now it’s raining, but no salt on either vehicles!

If needed, ONLY IF NEEDED, take it through a car wash that has just the jet streams of water. It will clean the undercarriage pretty good until it warms up when it can be cleaned up good.

Just took it to a DIY car wash and blasted it with presoak and rinsed it off with a pressure washer. Seems to have done the trick!
I’m not a fan of any car washes by any means but I made an exception this time. (Just got the undercarriage and brought it home to hand wash the body)

You shouldn't need to get a full fledged backflow preventer. You should have an anti siphon valve on your hose bib.
And many pressure washers have check valves inside of them or else the pressurized water would go into your garden hose when you turn the unit off.

The leak is actually coming from the ball valve on the entry side of the BFP, it has a huge crack in it. I have a new one on the way.
