Leaf Spring sag - normal over time, or problem?

Every time I see my truck, I feel like it appears to be sagging in the rear. I decided to measure (hub to fender) today, and on flat ground, with the truck unloaded, half a tank of fuel, I got 23" on the driver side and 23 1/8" on the passenger. According to this thread , stock rear height is 24-24 1/4".

The truck has 17000 miles on it. I purchased it with 9000 on it, so I'm unsure if it was hauling or towing heavy prior to my ownership. Is it normal for springs to sag and lose an inch in such a short amount of time? Curious if I should have the dealer look at them while it still under warranty.

 

Common in Tacoma for sure but haven't seen it much on Tundras. I'd point it out to the dealer you purchased from and see if they'll replace them. Alternately you can replace them with a higher grade leaf if your intending on modding in the future for off-road use.

OME, general spring, and icon make replacements to give you more travel for offroading. General also makes a stiffer pack for hauling if that's your goal.

 

My 2014 was sagging after the first year of towing. I installed shackles to bring it back to level and ultimately air bags due to the towing.

 

Mine says too, but I carry around 300-350 regularly, even off road. There are many options to consider if you’re thinking of reinforcing the back end

 

My 2019 1794 has been bugging me lately when I look at the rear, @ 4500 miles I noticed the L/R looked lower than the right. Today I put a tape on it and sure enough the L/R is lower by 1 1/8" as measured between the frame and the top of the bump stop and confirmed again between the frame and the top of the spring pack.
Not a big deal but its gonna bug me.
