I have Duratracs on our FJ and I am NOT happy with them. They do well in the Dirt, Wet Street condition seem to be "ok" at best but they wear like chit! Worse than the ProComps I had on there. Soon as these get worn all the way, BFG A/T's. Best tires in my mind. Pay for what you get.

I have them. Great tire on and off-road. Best I have had for dirt and snow. Have some uneven wear (think too height of pressure in the rear) and they are getting close to needing replacementment earlier than expected.

I've had 3 sets. 2 on the Tacoma and the current set on the Tundra. First set was light truck or whatever the lighter version is. They had terrible uneven wear. 2nd round I went with the heavier ply and they were great. The set on the Tundra are rotated every 5k and have been the best yet. Perfectly even wear and glassy smooth. 25k on them and going strong.
I've been really happy with them in the snow. We had a little over 14 feet fall at the house in January. Only time I'm sliding around is if I'm driving like an asshole. Driving appropriately for snow and I don't need 4WD 95% of the time.

I had Duratracs on my F150. I think they come with a couple different types of rubber. They either last a long time and have terrible traction or wear fast and have good traction. Mine wore evenly and were lasting forever, but the traction on wet roads was the worst I've ever had. The truck felt unsafe and like it was on ice as soon as the road would get wet. I had close to 40,000 miles on them and they probably would've lasted another 40,000. I would personally never buy another set due to the traction issue.

Falkens are no joke. Had them on my Durango, and they were great all around tires, at least for the road.

A buddy of mine put the WildPeaks on his Dodge - I don’t know much about them but they sure do look good!

I had a set of Duratracs on my 2009 Taco. Sold it with 30,000 miles on it. Never had any problems and they had plenty of tread left. Would have gone 60,000 easy. I went with Cooper ST Maxx's on my 2013 Taco just because I needed a beefier sidewall.

Guy I hunt with upgraded to a 3rd gen this year and he has these on his. Swears by them and they look great. Gonna give them a shot next time since they have a size that is appealing (305/65/18).

I have a set of these on my Taco. They were a massive improvement over the Goodyear’s while off-road. No negative impact on mileage or cabin noise either.

Would love to get brush guard, tail light guard, runner boards, windwisors, reverse camera, camper shell with windoors hi cab models, lift kit, bid wider tires best traction in snow, rain, off road, etc etc
can you guys help me here, i want to put the Falken Wildpeak on my 2012 Tundra Double cab long bed. It currently has 10 inches of ground clearance and I just need enough ground clearance to be able to go anywhere, offroading, deep snow, mud, water, desert, anywhere with confidence, looks are secondary for me. If i get stuck in a blizzard i want to be able to get out, i know chains can help more than tires, but some one help me if i need a lift? generally my understanding is that wider is better for traction but ofcourse you can only get 1 inch extra with risk of rubbing right? so whats the best recommended tire for all of this? i have 18' inch rims, so upgrading to 20" seems to be a matter of more cost than making any difference to ground clearance or 4wd capability in deep snow/mud/sand. I want to be able make the decision so I can buy all i need by thanks giving actually - to get all discounts I possibly can..thanks for your help

I put wildpeaks on my 07 last year, there a great tire. I recently got a new 2019 Limited and I keep thinking the Michelin’s need to go! I’d switch already but Monday my new audio system I got from James @ tech12 comes in, priorities! I need mooo money lol.

Re tires: wide for traction on-road. A lot of dirt regulars swear by less-wide off-road. I’m kinda buying that based on my own experience (assuming you air down off-road).

Re wheels: I cannot think of any reason to change out 18’s for 20’s, unless you just prefer the look (and won’t do anything serious off-road). Have you searched the forum? There’s a ton of threads on this.
