    Hey y'all I'm Bobby. Im a new member here but I still own a Tacoma. I plan on getting a tundra next year after we get married

    I'm planning to lurk around here before I buy so I can gain some knowledge before I pull the trigger. I'm looking for a 5.7 4x4... Other than that I'm not too picky. I just need some more towing power and a backseat for a car seat.

    As you can see my taco is very family friendly lol

    So hello to everyone and thanks for the advice in advance.

    Welcome! Your Tacoma looks similar to @csuviper tacoma. He too found it tough with kids and upgraded to a Tundra.

    Welcome to the site! And I can tell you first hand, baby seats fit very nice in the back of a crewmax. I have a 3 month old.

    I have a 8 (almost 9) year old daughter and 2.5 year old son. I can get my wife (4'11"; 106lbs) and both kids in there without problem. Crewmax will serve ur needs well!

    Thanks guys. I'm still torn between crewmax and DC. I don't want to compromise bed space since it's my work truck also. I've even considered the longed

    I just wish they made crewmax with the 6.6"bed.

    If you don't mind a 2007-2013 there are some crewmaxs out there with the standard bed.

    Very tough to find. My new co-worker, Allen, Got his 2007 SR5, 8 ft bed from OK. He used a broker to find it. 5.5' bed is too short if you really use your truck a lot to haul drywall, plywood, etc, or ever want a decent sized camper. Depends on your needs. DC with 6.5' bed is a good compromise, although brings a premium price used. I haven't seen a CMax with a 6.5' bed. Wasn't aware they made them. If so, maybe someone can post a pic of one to prove they exist.

    I thought they did as I heard the complaint from techs that they barely fit the lift because of the extra length.

    Seeing how this was my truck let me add here lol.
    Car seat -
    Car seats can be pretty bulky and take up a good amount of room...if you're tall, I would switch to psngr side..

    If ur planning on more than one Kid,
    Get the CM...I loved my truck (now yours) but I love the space in my CM even more so...
