Amazon is Amazing

So my old Masterbuilt smoker died and I ordered a new one from Amazon. It came a few days ago, but because of the blizzard of '18 I set it aside. This morning I opened it to have something to do. Damage on the top as soon as I opened the box.


I sent an email to Amazon. Within minutes I received an answer that a new one will arrive on Jan 10. And...get this, no need to return this one! It looks like it will work, I'll know for sure when I take it out of the box. Now what to do with two?

 

They’re unreal. I legit don’t leave the house to shop anymore and we probably get at minimum 3-4 packages a day from Amazon.

 

Btw, I love those master built electrics. I’ve run 3 of them into the ground with weekly use. Upgraded to a Yoder finally about a year ago but recommend those masterbuikts like crazy

 

Save it for parts

 

1 for pork 1 for beef? Multiple wood flavor profiles. Great for smoking multiple 8tems at different temps.

When #3 arrived I had 18 car seats deivered to figure out what combos of 3 across would fit. I thought my guy was gonna I’ll me when I returned 17

 

Amazon is great, but if could ever get my damn lights I ordered last week it would be better. Were suppose to arrived Wednesday, but now they say maybe by tomorrow. The shipping info only list one thing “Package has left seller facility and is in transit to carrier”, and that was on the day they were supposed to arrive.

 

Had a problem with a vendor and basically sent the vendor a lesson learned you got me this time email. Amazon read it and refunded my p I purchase price and sent a nasty gram to the vendor. I love those guys.

 

Be carefull though. If you ever get a red flag in your mind about Amazon customer service rep blowing smoke up your ass, they most likely are.

I ordered my amp power steps from amazon, found a better deal, chatted with support to see if they would price match so that i didn't have to return them. They told me yes, just wait for it to be delivered, start another chat, and they will price match it (red flag). Turns out that was complete and total bullshit. They had no intention of price matching it, and probably told me whatever i wanted to hear so that i would give him a 5-star rating. I needed the steps immediately (wife is short and couldnt get into the truck easily and we were heading out to go camping).
If they would have not lied to me, it would have been fine, i would have ordered from the other retailer, and would have made it in time, and i would have returned the amazon ones.
The most shocking thing, all my correspondence was through chat, so i had a record of the transcript. They refused, sent it up the chain, still refused, sent it up the chain as far as i could. they would do NOTHING. Couldn't believe it.

Same here. I did all my Christmas shopping through Amazon. And since I have an Amazon rewards card I get money back (about $100 now) which I'm gonna use on a Switch Pros set up.

Plus they sell Baja Designs lights, so it really is a one stop shop for me.

 

I suggested to my wife, she said we have too many leftovers with a half load as it is. Maybe give it to my son-in-law and do some "coincidental" smoking?

No, Amazon keeps ups drivers employed. Probably be my retirement job.

 

Yea i love Amazon too but i find a quite a bit of product to be way overpriced. They have exceeded my expectations with their customer service as well. Once a pack got stolen off my front porch and amazon asked no questions and sent a new item immediately...i totally did not expect them to do that. The Prime membership is a no brainer.
That smoker gets a lot of great reviews...just last weekend i pulled my smoker out and it no longer worked so i need to get a new one.

 

I've had an older version for years and it's been great. Heating element went 2 years ago and I replaced it. Got a ground fault again last week and decided to go new. I downgraded, I guess, got the one without a window. The old one had it, but it was useless between smoke and condensation. When the freeze goes away something is getting smoked.

Maybe brisket in one and cheese in the other.
