I have a question. I know these are plug and play and would work like the factory does, but is there a way to wire these so they can be turned on when the DRLs are on, and not only when the full headlights are on?

Search forums for "anytime fog light mod". This will allow your fogs to be on anytime you want. It works the same for the XB fog lights.

    Quick question what's the
    Yellow Protective Film (Lamin-X)?
Is that just to make it a yellow light ?

Funny, I've been researching fogs lately. The stock ones just don't cut it! I really like the rigid midnight edition but that's $100 more than the Morimoto's and they're not "p&p". So, thanks for the endorsement, just might save $100.

I think with the member 10% they come out to $150 or so. If we can get it cheaper than that with a group, I'm in.

Installing mine now. The xb's are not flush with the black plastic housing that fits in the bumper cover. Is this normal?

Mine fit exactly the same way, I am a little disappointed in the fit as well as the light output. I thought these would be like the JW Speaker leds i installed on my harley, but the light output is much less than I anticipated.

Don't get me wrong, the output is more than stock, but nothing like I expected. I am also a little disappointed with the fit, the gap around the lens and the factory surround gets my OCD running in high gear.

How do these do in the blinding snow? I find it's difficult to see anything and i'm ready for something to cut through it

They don't have fit 100% flush. Also keep in mind that you have to aim them to your stock levels as these aren't adjusted. So if your not getting enough light then you need to adjust them. They are 1200 lumens per fog light which is really bright for a fog light.

Please read the entire first post including how to aim them.

I spent a lot of time adjusting them and get a nice distinct line against a wall as I adjust them, but, even with them adjusted correctly I have a hard time telling they are on at night. I do get some nice light to the front sides of the truck, but, really thought the output would be much more than it actually is.

Thanks everyone. Got them installed. That inner fender liner is the worst thing in the universe. Hope I never have to mess with it again.

There's a little more wire to play with on the xb's so I'll just pop them out the front if they need to be adjusted/aimed.

I installed mine today. I popped them out the front and both installed in about 20 minutes. Later this week I will readjust them to get them to back where the stock ones were. I could notice the difference when I parked in my driveway. Lit most of the driveway up.
