I really like the X2, but my question is can I strap a motorcycle, mountain bike or dirt bike up against the cab and strap it to the forward tie downs.(putting the front tire up against the cab side bed wall). Will the open X2 get in the way, or move enough forward to fit this type of cargo? Thanks for any info.

Crud. Well I think I am leaning towards the Extang Solid Fold 2.0, with the extra seal package, it doesn't rely on a gutter drain system with tubes, and removes in 1-2 minutes no tools. Local guys by my push the MX4, but even with the Toyota Rail system, the MX4 still relies on a gutter to keep water out. To me this is secondary or reactionary, it seems much more logical to attempt to prevent the incursion of water from inception. I am looking for durability, ease of removal for a 4-wheeler, and how well it works on these trucks. As a new Tundra owner I am most definitely looking for feedback and advice, haven't ever had a cover, I'm new to it all.

I had the Extang 2.0 on my 2016 Tacoma and loved it, maybe a few little drops of rain from a heavy down pour, you can also buy this for the tail gate

    https://www.amazon.com/Extang-1140-MaxSeal/dp/B000CN5QG8

Im still debating between this or the MX4

From what Ive been reading up on is the 2.0 is easier to break into and the MX4 is harder to get into, though both can be! I do like the 2.0 and not having to add any drain tubes, as I said the one on my Tacoma never had more then a few drops of water and sealed up good with that MaxSeal tail gate seal from Extang! Taking it on and off was a matter of minutes and easy peasy!

Prices I have so far are the lowest

    MX4 $820.00
    2.0 $693.00

Both were for the bed rail option!

I saw that gasket kit, a neighbor also applied that to the underneath of the cover behind the rear glass, and said it buttons up nicely now.

Both are good prices, are you going with the 2.0!

On the fence, the 2.0 seems to be well built, the MX4 has good reviews, but don’t like the secondary design for water prevention

    2 more to think about:

Leer Trilogy XT2, and a Lomax Hard Cover. Both have more engagement points, and use no drain tubes, they both share a water intrusion prevention engineered design.
