So once in a while I like to throw some Mud or Brodie in the snow... but even with the traction control turned off the truck throttles down and avoids peeling the tires. Can this be fixed be chipping the rig out or do I have to let the truck decide how big my balls are:benchpress:

Truck shouldn't throttle down with nannies off. My 07 doesn't.

Trac control turned all the way off? Sounds like you just pushed the button once.

Try pushing it once, then push and hold for 3 sec., then push and hold for three more sec.
center display should say Traction Control Off.

4hi brodies ftw! No need for the first button press just press it for three seconds then release then press it for three more seconds.

Then you can do a bunch of one legged Brodie’s

One press turns on simulated LSD. 1 3 second press turns on simulated LSD and track off. The final three second press turns off the simulated LSD but leaves the TC off.

Your way works too. When I want to jump out in the traffic and not worry about a slight slip kicking my throttle back, I just hold it for three seconds for the first stage.

That's actually what I do on my 07. All I know is I'm not a fan of TC at all. It's terrible in icy conditions. Unsafe IMHO. My 09 Taco was the same way. I think the computer gets confused trying to quickly figure out things out on ice to the point you can't brake.

You can turn LSD off and on at any point, but you have to be at a full stop to turn TC off. I tried a couple times before and thought the 3 sec hold didn’t work on mine until I tried it at a red light...:burnrubber:

It also turns off the pre-collision braking assist. Not sure why that's tied to it.

You do not want pre-collison activated when 4 wheeling. Ever.....

No, I agree with this. Just seems like it would have its own dedicated shut off.

My 07 doesn't have it. I'm not sure if there is a way to disable it any other way.
