    Hey all,

Let's go hit some dirt! Should be an easy trail, 2wd friendly.

Lower Coyote Canyon in Anza Borrego.

    Vallecito Wash

I assume it's BLM land so we might be able to break out the pew pews, well stop somewhere on the trail to have some lunch and frosty beverages.

Will be a fun time to hit the dirt and meet local members!

Sounds like it’s near split mtn rd. Does the iron door saloon sound close? South of 78 or north towards truck haven?

Not really. But I am all in if this is the one y'all want to try. I think this is the one filmed up above. I checked reviews and it's supposed to be a bit high-traffic but not so much this time of year, so it's a great time to hit it. Also, I already sold it at home. But I'll sell something else, anything y'all can agree on in or south of Temecula.

I agree. It's probably about the same commitment from you LA/ Riverside guys as Palomar. Be more time on the freeway to Palaomar... so quicker. Different views; the drive to Palomar will be mountains, the drive to Borrego is country dropping into desert.
I'd love to do lower coyote.
Definitely don't want to do that! I think, realistically, if it's far enough south for me, it'll be too far for you; far enough north for you, will be too far for me.

But Marty could probably make both regions. Maybe we/ y'all could do one south that I'll join, and another more to the north for you, @fisherman951. Once we get a handle on what our trucks can easily handle, we could build to a camping trip... for which I'd travel farther. What do you think?
Yes, @Marty McFly, you are obligated to participate in this first go. You're the... producer! So, I don't want to put you on the spot (am doing), but you're defininitely the guy in the middle, who could potentially make drives south and north, to help launch this motley crew.
This looks good too. So far, every one of these routes look doable. Down the road (see what I did there?!), I'll prefer something with a little technical challenge. :burnrubber:

But for the first one or 2 meets, I'm all for meeting wherever we can get at least a few to show up.

As with so much in life, if it's fun, we'll be motivated to do it again... and increasingly willing to go the (any) distance to make it happen. I know you know this @eccracer104 ... 'Superstition'....

@Bprose , are you in SoCal? Would you bring your Tundra on a play date? If so, feel free to weigh in on what areas are realistic for you.

    Absolutely! Welcome aboard.

Perfect! I just had a "shower thought" that doing a poll could make this easier... and take some pressure off of Marty.

Um, @Marty McFly, it IS OBLIGATORY that you participate-- so PM as needed to influence the poll to go the way you need it to go!
    Damnit! :ballchain:

I'm already thinking ahead to another (additional) play day in February down south somewhere.

And @fisherman951 wants to play a couple hours north. If you don't mind sharing what area is most convenient to you, I'm sure it'll all fall into place.

Hey, @eccracer104, I am not voting because I will be thrilled to do either (and am sure I'll eventually try both). I don't want to inadvertently swing the vote away from one others would more likely do.

I am aware (and grateful) that either of these will be accessible to me!!

Do you need something closer? Tell us, and we'll accommodate. I'm picturing finding something south of you that's not more distant than the places you've gone in Big Bear. But I'm guessing as to where you actually live. If you want to give us # of miles from any point, I'll research til I, @eccracer104, or someone else on here suggests something fun within that area.

I plan to buy the book of trails posted above this weekend too, follow up on every lead.
