Just purchased a Kenwood 9904 and I read where the factory USB/AUX will not work with Android Auto.

Is there a replacement USB module/insert I can install to accommodate Android Auto? I know I can run the USB and plug in my phone that way, but prefer to have the module/insert that is below the HVAC controls.

    Would something lie this work:

Let me tell you the sound quality on this HU is impressive, actually was blown away. I'm feeding the HU to an AudioControl DSP that feeds my amps. I attached a 4TB exteranl HD/Passport to the HU and it plays all my lossless (FLAC and DSD) without issue.

The HU is very responsive even reading the 4TB HD. I purchased the idatalink Maestro, Toyota Tundra Harness and idatalink TO2 connections for the stock GPS and XM, all plug and play. The only thing that took me some time was soldering the HU harness to the idatalink harness( if you purchase from Crutuchfiled they will do that task for you prior to shipping). Also with the idatalink I get all the OBD2 (gauges, engine metrics, and notifications).

Blows the Phoenix Tesla HU away, not even in the same league....

Lastly, need to give props to Crutchfield, I needed a part to complete my install and they shipped at no charge for the part and no shipping charge overnight/Saturday delivery, how do you beat that!!!!

Yes, I played a handful of MKVs no problem, supports MPEG1,2,4 H.264, MKV, and WMV. I also bypassed the break by soldering it to the ground wire.
