I've had them on my wife's 4runner for a few months and they've held up well. We don't do any crazy rock crawling where we would need actual sliders but do a large amount of desert and forest trail running. These steps are very solidly built and the fit and finish is excellent. Some people dislike the starts but I don't mind them at all. I think they look great and function fantastically.

At $300 these are a steal. I got my wife's for $200 when they first came out and now the price has gone way up. I highly recommend them.

Here they are on the t4r too:

Wow you guys do some major mods on your Tundras! The only things I've done is had Firestone airbags installed in the rear (because I tow an 8,000 camper), had dealer put a "Fold-a-Cover" bed cover on her (best $800 I ever spent), and had dealer remove the standard Tundra outside mirrors and replaced with the Toyota pull-out tow mirrors. (Not cheap but worth it when towing my $30,000 camper around)

Oh I have the OEM mirrors in boxes in the garage...if anyone wants to buy one or both let me know...nothing wrong with them. (They are electric and heated)

Since the Tundra is my 3rd vehicle, I don't drive it much so I'm driving it a lot this month to get to 25,000 miles for her yearly oil change. I did the last one myself but this year want to also get tires balanced and rotated so probably going to the dealer and also check out the 2018's and talk to the techs while I'm there.

Did you all know Toyota DOES have a diesel engine for the Tundra but decided not to produce them because they don't think they'll sell very well? I think they'd put Dodge trucks out of business if they did.

Sweet, thank you. That's exactly what I thought too. I need to pull the trigger. Hows the grip? I saw someone else on another forum added some grip tape to add some grip in front of each door.

I have seen people add grip tape to cover the star cutouts, but I don't think they are adding it to provide additional grip..

I honestly feel that the grip is fantastic - and I wear Vans slip ons 95% of the time.. If you're unfamiliar the bottom of these shoes are basically racing slicks.

Airbox with K&N Filter, 2" lift on 33's, Alpine iLX-F309 head unit, Pull out bed tool boxes, brown with black trim, rims, etc, black leather interior, matching topper. Muffler delete (too loud..) 62k miles!!!
I removed the chrome bumpers. The cap was a pain in the ass because you cannot access all the clips easily and the reinforcement bracket unbolts from under the cap lol. I popped 2 tabs but there are more than enough to hold it especially with the linex which makes it tighter. Price I couldn't tell you as we work out in trade.

NOTE: For anyone thinking about doing this some tips.

    1. Once you finally get the cap off the smaller end caps will need the outside hole clearances to the factory size again (remove all linex from that hole) unless you get a longer or different clip. Also 2 holes on the chrome bumpers will need the same treatment as they are sized just big enough for the bolt and no wiggle room. One on the top, one on the bottom respectively.

It's the rough country 30" light bar for the tundra. The Black series, not chrome. $269.

Can you add that bar plus the hood bulge light bar or does that block too much air?

I'm not sure, I don't have the bulge light bar. There is alot of guys who do, maybe they'll chime in on that.

The light comes with a nice wiring harness with a relay wired into it with a push button switch. I cut the switch off and used a OEM style push button switch. It just wires to the positive and negative posts on the battery.

Broke both front 4600's so I added some 6112's in the front and 5160's in the rear for now.

The hood bulge is cosmetic. There’s no air going through it so a light in there won’t affect it.

Just going down a dirt road on the way to the range. Going a little to fast and it had a leveling kit on it. I think that had more to do with it.
