I am new to this site and need some advice from you Tundra Crewcab owners. I just purchased a 2012 Tundra Crewcab and it does not have a lot of accessories on it. And, for most part, I like that. However, I would like to install a back up camera on it. I use the mirrors myself, but my wife says that she would like to have a camera and I understand that.
So, I am looking for a good aftermarket back up camera that I can install. Preferably a wireless, if they tend to be any good. I don't know anything at all about aftermarket back up cameras. Would like to have something that I can install so that I don't have to pay the dealer or a shop to install it for me. Also, where would the screen go in the cab? Need some advice from others on this forum on what to buy? Also, I would like to install some nerf bars so the truck will be somewhat easier to get in and out. I am 71 years old and have had 2 knee replacements, and, my wife has a hard time getting up into the cab also. Can anyone out there recommend a good set of nerf bars, and again, something that I can install with the bolt holes that would already line up with the holes in the Tundra?
Thanks so much from a newbie and a new Tundra Crewcab owner. Have had a couple of Tacomas, but never a Tundra. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

There is a backup camera that you can find on E-bay and Amazon that you can attach directly to your lift gate handle.

You run the wiring down and on the bottom of some trucks you’ll find an unused plug.

That plug wires directly either behind the radio or to a spot above your mirror in the console. There is a screen that can be added there.
