Ordered a set of bed lights for my 2018 tundra. Wiring is different from what is included in the instructions. Does anyone have a 2018 with bed lights that could tell me what wire they are connected to or anyone done any digging in the wiring to know which wire controls the cab light. Thanks.
added pictures. first is from the instructions included with kit. second is wiring from the truck

So, you're running bed lights connected to the cab light? Are you sure you wouldn't prefer to have a separate switch?
On my '16 I have the bed lights with a hidden switch in the bed and puddle lights under the truck run to the cab light.

Pretty sure the light kit is supposed to tap into the cargo light and come on whenever the cargo light comes on. or at least that's my understanding. problem is the wiring has changed in the 2018 and I can't find the correct wire. I've tried using a circuit tester and turning the cargo switch on but haven't been able to find correct wire.

Thanks, looked at that thread before I posted and tried a few of the wires. Most of the wires on that bundle are different colors. didn't have any luck finding the correct wire.

yes, I tried all of the black/grey/brown wires in the bundle and none of them worked with the tester and turning the cargo light on and off.

Disconnect the harness and use a voltmeter to find where you get 12v when you toggle the bed light on/off or open the door...?

I just installed these on my 2017 platinum and the wire for the cargo lights was a small brown wire. Not the brown wrapped around the red there was a solitary brown wire that turned them on with the key fob. I went off of Ron’s post but the wire colors apparently changed two years later. However, I did wire up through the drip hole and fished it through to the panel under the driver rear side 10x easier than the directions.

Not sure if 2018 is the same but the small brown wire for mine was the correct wire after testing each and every black wire.

    Hope that helps some.

Im trying to wire my Vled puddle lights. I’m having a hard time finding the cargo light circuit on my 2018 Double Cab. I feel like I have tried all the methods I’ve read about on the forum and still haven’t had any luck. I tried all the pink wires for 18+ too with no luck. I also followed the sparks parts instructions for the factory bed lights. When I did this, I the cargo light would not longer illuminate and the puddle light (only had one connected at the time) would only light up to about 50%. Any ideas?

I put them on my footwell light circuit for now, but I’d like them to come on with the fob like the cargo light.

I know this topic has been beat to death, but does anyone want to take a stab at this? With so many threads on this topic I figured it makes more sense to use this thread rather than create another new one...

Maybe it was connected correctly via Sparks Parts instructions but I need a relay?? Any help is appreciated, and if I should start a new thread let me know. Thanks guys, Happy Friday!

Just an update. I finally found my cargo light circuit and got my lights squared away. Turns out on my 2018 Double Cab SR5, my cargo light circuit was a pink wire with red tracer.
Hopefully this can help someone in the future.
