good lord I hate car salesmen. Getting you in the dealership then not getting you the price you were expecting to get (costco pricing). what a way to waste 3 hours

anyone recommends good dealer in SoCal ?

looking for the grey XSE with red leather interior. Beautiful car but dealership wanted $1500 extra because the red color is considered "rare"..wtf..

they also had a TRD pro tacoma with 10K mark up because you know..it's "rare"

I do all my business at Longo Toyota. I pass at least 4 Toyota dealerships to go to Longo. I've had nothing but bad experiences at other Toyota dealerships both buying and service. Longo treats me well and my service guy hooks me up all the time

I remember reading a thread about emailing all the Toyota dealers in an area you would be willing to travel to and basically putting them against each other for price. In the recent past I have just emailed the dealer and gone through the internet department vs the guy thats been there for 2 days trying to sell you whatever. I know that the internet department has usually been able to give a better deal then the regular sales department. Our dealer up here has this "lowest price advertised on the car". They won't go one dollar below it no matter what. Its kind of annoying but at least you take one variable out of the equation.

Given what time of year it is I would think a well written brief description of what you want and then copy and paste to every toyota dealer between Chula Vista and Temecula should result in a few offers at a decent price.

Sorry I don't have an exact dealer i would recommend down there. Its been a while since I lived there anyway.
    Good luck!

I went to Rogers n Rogers in El Centro, ca. Was going to go to I-10 Toyota, they told me they were Costco dealer. Salesman was full of shit, started telling me all about maybe he can work on price. Blowing smoke up my ass. There’s no haggling the Costco price, there are a few dealerships that if you talk to jo schmo salesmen they’ll try to steal the Costco reps sale. You have to talk to the guy that handles the Costco deals. You can email Costco about a dealership in your area and they hook you up w closest dealership.
Bought my wife’s Camry and my tundra through Rogers n Rogers. Great service too.

i know right...costco price is usually $600 below invoice and they were trying to sell me a camry for $1500 above invoice...always arguing it was a great deal vs MSRP price...however I did get educated on leasing vs financing so I didn't waste all my time..next dealer I'll have more ammo with me :)
