Zero negatives. (other than two co-workers who still insist my truck is Japanese made, even tough my 07 Tundra makes their new trucks (Ram and Chevy) look like sh*t. You know you are doing something right when you pull into Bass Pro or Gander Mt's parking lot and heads turn when you drive buy.

Mat that's all I hear most of the time, Japanese made, your filling there pockets. Buy American. And what about the foreign parts that are found in the fords, chevys, and rams. Just your fanboys standing by there junk no matter how it performs. Trust me, if Toyota wasn't reliable, dependable and lacked the resale value, I would shop elsewhere. Not gonna continue to buy something I can't rely on just because Im afraid to buy the one truck we all know is the best on the road. uploadfromtaptalk1446690991639.jpg

You could wrap a south of the border produced polished turd with a RAM or Z71 badge on it and the fan boys would still swear by it. (oh wait !, they already do. heh heh)

I always get compliments on mine along with many heads turning as I drive by... I also get a lot of people ask me "Why Toyota? Why not American made?" I just reply with the story of when I traded in my Tacoma for the Tundra at a chevy stealership and the salesman's jaw dropped:eek: when he saw how much my "jap truck" was still worth.

I've gotten a lot of compliments on the color. Which of course Toyota took to mean they should no longer make green trucks. o_O

The wife likes it more than me to be honest. It rides a little low being stock and a little soft compared to a Superduty. That being said, I'm coming around to liking it. Most of my problems with it were actual problems with any new to me truck. It's just not modded to me yet. I've gotten a few ''I can't believe you bought that over you're usual Fords. Honestly, I couldn't justify a brand new truck and I'm not fond of the last 4-5 years of Fords bodystyle or their Ecoboost. There wasn't anyone else that makes a truck I want.

Most folks have said they like it. Except 1 of my coworkers, but he's anti Toyota . Another coworker started talking to me when he noticed my truck (he has a tundra). I think my Dad secretly has truck envy he has a ridgeline :gossip:.

I get a lot of comments at the gas pump from guys. People like it even more when I tell them how much I paid. These trucks are MUCH more reasonable than other manufacturers. I went to Ford, Chevy and Dodge. The couldn't touch the price and the financing.

I seem to get random compliments on how it looks/setup. A few have actually come over to the truck to talk about it.

Anyone else here do friendly wave to a modded Tundra?

Yesterday on my way to stop by my house on my lunch break, which is 5 minutes from the lab, I was on Chambers/Smith Road intersection (which you have no idea where I'm talking about) where the powers that be recently finished up the new LRT tracks that run parallel to existing Union Pacific tracks. Needless to say, the new RRXing light combo sucks, so there were 9 or 10 contractors standing around while 1 guy is calibrating the light timing. They were maybe 10 ft from my truck totally checking it out. When they ( the one guy earning my tax $ from pay check) were done F'ing around and let the gates go up, guess what I did? Turned right and punched it hard. Rear view mirror pretty much indicated what distracted them from their work. Sometimes no words need to be said. heh heh

Best one I've had I think was in my taco. It has a snorkel. I pulled up to a drive thru window. And while waiting, the register guy leans out and says, "that Is a sweet exhaust man!"

I couldn't comprehend the amount of stupid happening at that moment.... so I said, "thanks!" Grabbed my food and split

Usually the only comments I get about my truck are about all the empty shotgun shells I have in the bed. Usually I get the "that's the type of truck I like to see!"

I had a 2011 taco before I traded it in for my 14 CM limited, I was told my taco evolved into a Tundra like Pokemon. Some say its like a bulldog coming down the road.

I have also had a few people (Ford and Chevy drivers) approach me at gas stations making comments like "nice" and asking how I like it... I like the look on their face when I tell them how the torque feels as I am passing a dbl 53 footer on the flattop. Damn this thing likes to just gtf out of it's own way in a hurry, and it's totally stock (except the propane).

I work p/t in film up here and it's nice to get the 'nod from the guys in the transport dept as I drive by... those of you in the film industry will understand.

My son in law has a 2008 Sierra... he used to rib me about how slow my '93 Silverado was.... he now has 'truck envy'.

Yep... I am very happy with this purchase.
