not yet. Tundra still my DD, need to be able to dodge Prius drivers for now.

 

No worries. Both these trails are pretty wide. No pinstripes! I've run these trails for many years so if you guys are interested we can set up a nice little day run before it snows.

Most definitely! How about after the New Year? After the madness of the next couple weeks..? I have a great rendezvous point I use for T4R runs so lmk. Here's a few pics from last week out in Cougar Buttes.

 

Heck yea that would be awsome. Who else is in. Im assuming its going to be up towards big bear right? Or what spot do you have in mind? Lets try to get as many of us up there to habe a blast

There's so little storage space in the DC. I've been outfitting mine with basic just-in-case stuff including crushable down jackets, gloves, and hats (so we can hang out overnight, and stay warm in any weather, if we get stuck). I remember, growing up, we went all sorts of crazy places, and had great adventures. I want to do the same with my kid. And live through it.

Happy Thursday all! How's everyone doing today?

 

All is well: beautiful sunnier day in San Diego! Just met my honey for lunch and a few samples at Ballast Point. Downtown is unusually clear of people-- best time of year here (tourists elsewhere).

 

The one down in Little Italy? That's awesome, didn't think it would be so quiet today.
My lady and I would go there solely so she could have their Salmon... after the 2nd time they took it off the menu

 

Unfortunately, I have a knack for bringing about the termination of any brand. If I fall in love with a perfume, it's discontinued. If I love a menu item, gone! My favorite beers-- all my friends know--will be Re-designated limited release <sigh>.

As an example, we went today because my favourite BP beer, Red Velvet, is no longer available at any liquor store I know. We got there and, sure enough, they took it off tap 2 days ago. Really. But they had it bottled so I brought a 6-pack home.

I sampled 5 available now and didn't care much for any. The guy pouring finally suggested High West VA Victory at Sea. I really liked it! Then he told me they're on the last bit ever made and 'when it's gone, it's gone'. So I bought a 4-pack of that.

I'm like a secret asset; if your wife ever wants some perfume or wine you don't care for, or that costs too much, just get me to like it and, I assure you, I'll get production stopped within a week. I guess the good news is, I gotta stay open to trying new things....!

Also, the week between Christmas and New Year is prime time for locals downtown. You can get in anywhere, get great seating and service (limited tips; they gotta work for 'em)-- but you hafta run the gauntlet of homeless because they also ahave fewer "patrons" to rely on.
